That will be useful for screenshots. The Weapons Light would always cancel Facelight spells and would sometimes create weird shadows on my character's faces
You didn't need to remove them, just had to make them "cheaper". Anything that has an light that is costlier than vibrant weapons will come out on top. Thats the reason my Glowbugs (the enchantment ones at least) are able to take over from a daedric axe.
Well I was looking into maybe adding some ENB lights to the effect meshes instead, having trouble with that though. Will look into your method for making an optional version... what's the value I'm looking for? The "base cost" of all the VW magic effects are 0.
Just look for basic spell cost for the light effect in the spell and magic effect. Simply set hem to 0.01 (at zero the game won't always show them) and you'll be good.
Can maybe been done in XEdit real fast: Open all with "compare", change one to 0.01 and "copy to selected" - ready.
Scratch all, have looked into it. They have the lights implemented as "casting light", not extra light effect. So if you don't want to mess up the whole spellcost and balancing, your way is the only one to go. Sorry!
It's even worse, when I cast candlelight without your mod but with weapon equipped, thhe weaponlight keeps shining. Sheathing the weapon also lets the spell snuff out. Readying the weapon again gives me instant CTD.
Your mod prevents that CTD. Edit: Still CTD, no matter what lightspell I use. Only pemanent enchantments prevent that in my game (using VW-lite on downgraded SE).
OMG, I didn't know how much I could rely on my damned glowbugs.
