This is the singular player housing mod I use. Every other home I tried adding just has, too much, especially if I am aiming for something early game. This is "THE" starter home and I am very appreciative for it!
If I had any request, it would be to move the Key off of the front porch into the Embershard mine loot room, or maybe onto Arvel in Bleak Falls. Just a tiny bit of work required before you get it, but nothing that would be out of the way for a brand new character. (Still this is wishful thinking and not relevant, just goes to show there is little to ask for beyond what the mod already provides)
I absolutely love this mod, but it's incompatible with the mod linked below because the .esp file in both mods are named "RiverwoodCabin", and Mod Manager 2 doesn't have an option to rename the .esp (which I'm not even sure I can do and still have the mod work), so I can't have both the mods. Is there any way you can change the .esp name to like "RWCabin" or something? Thank you so much if you do change it for me. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11313
yes you can rename ESPs and BSAs or whatnot in MO2 - double-click the mod in left panel - click Filetree tab, highlight file - press F2 or right-click name, select Rename - feel happy
Just had to relate this little story. So, installed mod. Got key and moved in. Everything is nice and I add a few amenities using a positioner mod. Walked out and found Frodnar, Dorthe and Stump sitting on my porch. Damn near gave me a heart-attack as Stump barked at me when I spawned through the door.
I could just imagine my grumpy character yelling: "Get off my porch, ya damn kids!"
Nice house but its form version is 43, potential issues are crucial, better to avoid. Any mod house in Riverwood changes navmesh in the main road just between the Alvor’s House and the Trader, don’t install anything in Riverwood - this bug was noticed with several different mods installed.
Amazing mod! Simple , clean and efficient, also, it MESHES incredibly well with Jk´s Skyrim and Simply Bigger Tress, added some screenshots to show how lovely this simple house integrates with many other mods to make that small space behind the Sleeping Giant perfect for a little house :)
I love the fact this mod feels like it's part of the base game. It fits into Riverwood so perfectly, it doesn't even look like a mod. It's perfect both as a starter home and as a lore-friendly RP home for a player who wishes to play as a humble character, unconcerned with luxury. I've used this as a base in a couple of playthroughs now without any problems.

Putting the key in Arvel's inventory is a brilliant idea. I may try that.
Would be good for a backstory for Arvel as to how he got the claw.

The Form 43 is not a problem. All one has to do is fire up the CK, load the mod and save it and exit the CK again. One minute drill, no excuses.
Besides that a very nice mod, always use it on my runs, because it adds an extra house to riverwood, and works very well with JKs
