Yes. However, I have tested the performance and found no difference. I think it would be inappropriate to put this in a performance bundle because it would be misleading.
The mod Dirt Cliff Roots - Improvements has an option to remove the roots. I don't like to remove just a part of a mesh because people want different things and it would take too much time to create every option. The options would not be defined clearly because sometimes you can't remove some details of some trees. It would take a list of categories and a list of exceptions. I wanted to remove details from cave walls for myself, but theres many variations of walls and some of the details are necessary to hide holes in the mesh, some are stuck together and you need to test the mods after. I was noticing floating objects while playing because the developers expected that there would be an object there, so I did not publish the mods that looked weird during gameplay. Removing branches would be simple, but some of the trees look weird without them and it's not clear what is a good or a bad branch.
