Version 2.3.0 adds the option to set the strength of wind on each bone individually. To do this, add something like this to SMP Wind.ini (found in Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE):

    [Bones]
    Name of bone 1=0
    Name of bone 2=2.5
    Name of bone 3=1.0e-3

These lines would disable wind on a bone named "Name of bone 1" and make the strength of wind on "Name of bone 2" and "Name of bone 3" 2.5 times stronger and 1000 times weaker, respectively.

There's no MCM option for this, though. Do it the old-fashion way.

NOTE: This feature depends on a dirty hack and may fail in any past or future version of FSMP. If you ever have issues when using this mod, try removing all bone entries from your config file.

This mod now requires the official version of Faster HDT-SMP (1.49.0 or later). The changes I made to FSMP have been included in the main branch (thanks to DaydreamingDay and Alandtse), so I no longer need to replace any of their files.

Note that v1.49.0 of FSMP has its own built-in wind, an original design by Alandtse. This can be disabled in the FSMP config file if you prefer to use mine, for reasons of configurability or whatever.

I just came here looking for this as i'm playing around with different configs on 1.5.97 as well as 1.6.1130. This fails to load with script extender on 1.5.97 unfortunately, but it works with 1.6.1130.

Hi jg1, would you be willing to load the INI file from "GAME/Data/SKSE/Plugins" like all other SKSE mods?

Having it in "My Documents" makes it hard to control through mod managers. The same applies to your SMP Force Fields mod too.

Hi, any plans for updating to 1.6.1179? I would really love to use yours instead of FSMP (Which somehow won't turn on in my game)
    Thanks!

it works just fine on tis version, i use it myself
    2. i'm also on 1179 and when i start up, SKSE plugin loader gives me an error that says SMP Wind.dll disabled, incompatible with this version of the game??

weird though because i swear on a previous install it may have been working. who knows

    Simply beautiful Mod!

This adds so many layers of immersion for Skyrim and it is just something that takes the game into virtual reality without needed a VR headset.

Truly outstanding work thank you so much!

So the latets version of SMP HDT has a Wind option in the MCM if I'm not wrong. It's this mod still needed? Which one has better performance?
Thanks for this! This really bring life to my game.

I had disabled the breast wind fx thanks to the commetns
can someone name the Butt bones or what to write in the INI to disable the wind affecting the butt

      NPC L Butt=0
      NPC R Butt=0

You can find these bone's names in Data\SKSE\Plugins\hdtSkinnedMeshConfigs, these is a file "3BBB-Amazing.xml".
or check in Data\SKSE\Plugins, there are a lot of CBPC Config files, your can find those names in CBPCollisionConfig flies.
I konw cbpc is a totally different system, but smp and cbpc use the same bones.

Hi. Is there a setting or settings in the HDt files to control hair. When i do quick movements, like running or jumping outside, my hair stretches way out for a moment and then returns to normal. It only does that with rapid movement and not under normal movement conditions. I messed with the mcm settings for this to see if they helped resolve that and they didn't, so i'm guessing it's on the smp end of things. I'm using 2.5.1 of faster HDT-SMP, with the latest version of the SMP Wind NG Patch, for 1.5.97. Aside from that, everything works great.
