Eh, its fine tbh. Blender starts up with a cube and shift a to make a new one so its not too bad. The only problem I have with it are the quite limited UV unwrap options, and most my time working on my treemod is setting the uv
There's nothing wrong with Blender, it's quite a capable tool available for everyone. But AndyMash is an expert (Actually not, he is just a smartass, he probably thinks you need expensive tools to start creating models).
Testing out the mod, meanwhile noticing some other mesh improvements to be made... apparently WHPalace1.nif has broken inconsistent UV and WHPalace2.nif conflicts with itself. While both have gaps in them. WHPalace4.nif has gap inside a mesh. Both WHPalace4.nif and WHPalace5.nif don't have thickness on top and don't cover some empty spaces.
These door edits are hard to notice, but when you know where they are...
Yeah, I should probably take the time to go through every mesh and see what's wrong with them. WHpalace02 actually has eerily similar mesh problems to the ones I fixed here. Wont promise any updates since I got like 10 mods in the works atm and limited time but WH is something so inherently shagged dunno if I got the balls to do it
There are always ways to improve barred by just hard engine limits, especially as GPU power and monitor resolution shoot up. There is always something to smooth, perfectify seams and give objectively better visual consistency, it's just at some point the effort that goes into it exceeds the benefits.
Just out of curiosity went through the whole architecture/windhelm folder and copied any mesh with some quick-glance UV/mesh/texture problem and ended up with 145 files, so that's gonna take a weekend or two.

These are errors that amateurs doing in 3D programs (like Blender). These are actually official Bethesda's models??
