    I'm not happy with the look of the mod. Hopefully it can be a resource for someone else to configure the game around new post processing shaders, though.

    The new version of this mod contains a settings file which has quite a few configuration options. Please let me know if you want more.

    You can upload your settings files on their own pages, give yourself DP, whatever.

    is this included in the newest CS or do we still need to download it?

      Wanted to try that mod badly. I tried to install it with newest CS but HDR is not there obviously. CS doesnt seem to do any HDR stuff on my game. I checked. I wonder how can I enable HDR now from this mod while using CS. I think this mod doesn't work for me because of CS installed but I dont know.

      There is this faithful weather mod with additional hdr.esp but when I use it it crashes my game after starting the game every time.

      The only HDR that worked for me was Azurite HDR

    Hello people I am new to the mod world, so I have the following doubts; I can't find the SkyrimCustom.ini file and when I installed the Vanilla HDR I get this logo that is outdated, but I don't see more updates, this will continue to work or what is the reason for this error?

      no it's just the author who forgets to update latest version in its mod page. If you read the tooltip on this icon, you'll understand ;)

      The Skyrimcustom.ini is in your documents/my games/skyrim folder, if it's not there just create a new txt file and rename it to "skyrimcustom.ini".

      click the folder icon in mo2 (above the "flags" category) and then click open ini's folder. Should be in there

    Love it for the more natural HDR look
    Only feedback is that changing these two settings gives it just enough colour to not look washed out
    #define SETTING_UIHCG_Contrast 1.70 // def 1.39  ok 1.8
    #define SETTING_UIHCG_Saturation 1.25 // def 1.0

      I agree those are the settings to adjust but that was too much for me and probably some others. I used:

      #define SETTING_UIHCG_Contrast 1.5
      #define SETTING_UIHCG_Saturation 1.1

      Also I adjusted the tone mapping. The default style is popular these days but looks fake to me. If anyone thinks the colors look mushy in the light try:

      #define TONEMAPPING_METHOD  1// (default 4)

      I had to switch to Azurite Weathers because of that(Less blurry haze), and then this mod got redundant(thank god) and I stopped using it.

    So is it compatible with community shaders again?

    EDIT: I ask this because I think it was hidden with the release of CS 1.0.0

      I'm also curious about whether there's a technical way to make vanilla HDR compatible with new CS. Although doodlum is not satisfied with it, I think it works well with azurite II. Even if it has serious flaws, in a sense, it can be seen as part of the style.
      Post-Processing and new Weather mods also takes a long time to release, so I really hope vanilla HDR can be used as an optional transitional solution.

      Definetely works with the newest Community Shaders (v1.1.5). For me it changed the brightness and darkness. Maybe the mod did do nothing, but setting those ini values helped getting bright sunlight and dark nights.

      For azurite weathers III, doodlum just uploaded a new mod: azurite III - HDR, it may be better to use (with this weather mod) than vanilla hdr I think

      @Gazeth delete SkyrimCustom.ini and set these in your SkyrimPrefs.ini

      [General]
      fLightingOutputColourClampPostEnv = 1.0000
      fLightingOutputColourClampPostLit = 1.0000
      fLightingOutputColourClampPostSpec = 1.0000

      I thought the reasoning was that the new CS had HDR?

      Why do we need a weather mod to do that now?

    Question: there does not seem to be a SkyrimCustom.ini in my skyrim folder. Is the description outdated or is it a problem on my side?

      Like any other mod. Files should go in the Data folder. And of course you need Community Shaders to use it.

    my game was very dark at night, which i could live with by using brighter torch mods
    but when i entered soul cairn it was just too unnaturally dark and i started looking for a mod that caused this
    then i realized this is basically what happens when you apply HDR to non HDR display,
    i feel so stupid right now

    Am I supposed to use auto hdr with this or not? When I enable this mod and go into the game my display says its rendering in sdr. Am I stupid?
