After playing with my last "stable" version for more than 100 hours, I decided to upload a new version with a few tweaks and fixes, and also merge the Ars Metallica patch into an alternate main file to save y'all an ESP slot. I hope I did that right; if you encounter any issues, please tell me.

    Changelog for v3.0:

    BASE MOD:
    - Fixed some wrong conditions for items to show up at the smelter / tanning rack
    - Lowered number of Nails crafted from one Iron Ingot from 50 to 30

    ARS METALLICA PATCH:
    - Carried over changes from Unofficial Skyrim Patch
    - Increased weight of the smaller Cast Iron Pot from 4 to 5
    - Corrected weights of the two Dwemer Levers
    - Removed option to smelt down Falmer Armor
    - Fixed some wrong conditions for items to show up at the Smelter / Tanning Rack
    - Items that used to give Leather now give Leather Strips instead and are "smeltable" at the Tanning Rack

A simple and elegant solution to Smithing's dark matter problem. Thank you, it's working great on my new game, endorsed.

Hiya. I also made some mods that change weight on most items. I havn't shared them (yet) though.
I'm not critizing or whatever. Just sharing my thoughts.

    This is what i did:
Ores: around 5 (with moonstone and malachide lower weight)
Ignots: around 4 (Moonstone and Malachide lower. Dwarven Metal, Iron and steel higher)
    Lockpicks: 0.005
Gold: 0.01 (changed by "coins of tamriel" mod)
    Potions: Minimal potions 0.2 > Medium 1.0 - 1.5 > Extreme potions 2.0 -2.5. (Importent potions like "Cure disease" 2.0 - 2.5)
Changed most Glass and Elven Weapons and Armor by adding some Kg's. (They are too light imo)
Ingredients, soulgems, leather and hide i kept at the same values.

I would love an Arrow weight mod. Unfortunately Bethesda removed the option of changing weights on arrows in the editor, so we can't ajust that, according to them because it would create huge framerate drops.
But someone else said, "maybe someone can create a mod which creates a limit on how many items you may carry". So something that would prevent you from having more then let's say 50 arrows.
I'm not sure but i believe something like this has been done on OldRim, no ? I would love that, that would make the carry weight situation complete.

      Hi there, thanks for posting!

For changes to lockpick, gold, and potion weight, I recommend azzendix' Weight Overhaul. That mod does exactly what you're suggesting (I'm using it). Gold weight is also added by Immersive Jewelry, and IJ has some even heavier ingots.

I chose the ingot weights as I did because I wanted to make sure that whenever you craft any Vanilla or DLC item (such as Banded Iron Armor or Dwarven Armor or a Glass Warhammer), you'd end up with LESS carry weight than before, suggesting that not all the materials have been used 100% but there has also been some loss. For that purpose, your suggested ingot weights wouldn't be enough without also changing the crafting recipes, which I prefer to do as subtly as possible (if at all). But of course, in the scope of your total overhaul mod, your values would totally make sense probably.

All of these additional changes, however, are outside the scope of this mod. This mod does what it says in the title, it focuses on weight values for crafting materials and tries to change as little as possible about the recipes. Basically this is going to be a soft requirement for my very ambitious "Unique Hearthfire Homes" mod, which so far hasn't left the drafting table. (As in, I'm still compiling a manifest in MS Word and haven't started to even try and implement it in the CK because I'm still VERY new to using it. This mod was an easy way to get to know one important aspect of housebuilding, i.e. to make crafting recipes etc.)

Hi there again. And sorry for the confusion. I should have started with the "weight of arrows" subject.
Cause that's actually why i posted. I was wondering if you or anyone else looking at these weight mods, knows about "Limiting amounts of items you can carry" and make a mod on that. (so we can limit the amount of Arrows our player can carry)

(The rest was not very importent, it was just for you to compare other weight ideas, thank you for the tips though, i will look into those other mods you talked about)

I'd love to have an arrow weight mod, too. Unfortunately I've only just started modding, and from what I've gathered you'd need a script to implement that, which I do plan to learn some day, but it won't happen anytime soon in this mod, sorry. (I'd probably publish an arrow weight mod separately because this mod doesn't touch weapon or armor weights at all, just Misc. items and a few crafting recipes.) (There are Oldrim mods for that but none have been ported so far. Guess it isn't that high on that many people's priority list.)
