Women frequently die here. All the kids, even Erik, lost their mothers. What's more, this doesn't even conflict with the dialogue from the spectral assassin as Ryn suggests it might. Just because the assassin "smells murder" here, doesn't necessarily mean he can smell Lund's murder. I always assumed he refers to the murder of Lund's wife, as part of the theorized daedric ritual to fertilize the soil.
Camelworks has an amazing video on the Rorikstead mystery, and Lund's Hut is a really important part of it.
Sorry to necro your post, but I'm just finding these mods. I appreciate Ryn's treatment of Lund's Hut, in particular (haven't read the note yet) but it seems to be faithful to a very convincing theory made by Camelworks about how the crops are always amazing in Rorikstead. Absolutly love your mods! I have all of them installed right now they just add a lot more to the world and make so many locations feel more interesting or functional. I have found one tiny problem with this mod though if you're using Alternate start live another life (Not sure if I should mention that here or on that mod page? Sorry if this isn't the right place to mention it) adds a location called Shoal's Rest farm just down the road from Lund's hut and when both are installed causes a big terrain hole I can provide a screenshot if you'd like, otherwise I hope you keep making these amazing mods and can't wait to see how the rest of skyrim gets addapted over time!
Edit: Nevermind I am an idiot that forgot to run loot afterwords, mod works fine! Keep up the amazing work!

Real talk, if some studio somewhere hasn't hired you to design level layouts they're sorely missing out.
