Why won't my wife/kids move in? - You need the Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions Mod installed, and you need to cast the "Bless Home" spell inside the house.
How do I make my followers live in the house? - You need a follower mod like AFT or My Home is Your Home
Will you add auto-sort to all the things? - Nope, sorry. I don't know how, and I have no ambition to learn because I would never use it in my own game.
Will you add/move/change this thing? - No. This is an old mod, and I don't have the time or inclination to do anything else with it. Unless something got broken during the conversion to SE, there will be no updates.
Love thi home any one no of a patch for https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/55653? [Nether's Follower Framework] when used my wife stand near the bride never sleeps
I really like this mod, the space is well thought out inside the cell.. As for my followers, I bring them inside the home, tell them this is your new home, go to the grotto, tell them this is where they work from 9-5 and go to the bunkhouse and tell them hats where hey sleep from 10-6.. The rest takes care of itself.
Best player house, hands down. I love how it doesn't look like other houses in Skyrim with the dull walls and everything uses the same furniture. This one is really pretty.
OMG, you're a LIFESAVER! Those birds were driving me (short trip) insane lol. And, I love the house and location, but that was going to be a no-go. Thanks for the save :)
I loved this home the moment I set eyes on it, however I was a bit concerned when I cast the Bless This Home spell and it said there were only 6 beds. After a few late night visits home, I found my children sleeping soundly, but my spouse wanders around in the yard and never...I mean NEVER...sleeps. I know that it seems super minor, but it takes away from the feel of things. (I tested out the Pinecrest Estate AND Riftvale Lodge by the same person and they both do the exact same thing. - In Riftvale even the kids don't sleep.)
I would've loved it on my pc with nvidia, but my skyrim broke on that one to such an extent that no matter how I reinstall it, the result is broken graphics glitch. So on this AMD, there are huge frame drops due to the fact that the manor does not have a 2nd cell for itself, I lose 40 frames and remain at 20 indefinitely. I really wish it had a fomod or secondary installation with the manor having its' own cell, for those with crappier PCs. The house size is perfect, honestly though...A big portion of the space everywhere could use some clutter or removed for the sake of having one more floor. Feels semi empty. Then again I might just be using too much of elianora's stuff, usually jam packed with stuff all up and down rooms that are FAR smaller. I give this a 7/10, a 9.5/10 if I was using my nvidia.
The problem with making an optional version of the house in an interior cell is that I have to re-make an awful lot of stuff twice - I can't just copypaste it into a new cell. Also, this was my very first mod, so the chances of me doing anything else with it at this point are pretty slim.
Lake Haven is built in its own cell, and has considerably more clutter if that's something you're looking for. Of course, Elianora's mods are a great alternative as well - I usually use at least one of her houses in all of my playthroughs.
On a side note - when you reinstall Skyrim, are you also deleting all of your mods and all of the folders associated with the game? It sounds like maybe you're accidentally keeping some mods, or have some bad files in the meshes/textures folder. It shouldn't be possible to have Skyrim still broken after a complete reinstall, unless your computer has pooped the bed.
By full reinstallation I mean I deleted everything, vortex itself...Tried reinstalling steam, sse then vortex, then every single mod I lost 5 mods at a time every 15-20 minutes, got back to where I was then started up the game...Black streaks/skies return. I think it has to do specifically with my graphics card...One day it just decided, it hated skyrim.
To those still having issues with the common beds in the grotto and have downloaded the Textures on the files page you have to rename them by simply replacing the 02 with 10 on both and bam they work... If added to the right place I use MO2 but I merged them..
In the file under Common Bed Textures you will find these 2 files simply rename them... commonbedding02.dds to commonbedding10.dds commonbedding02_n.dds to commonbedding10_n.dds

I had an Orc today standing on the bridge. He didn't have anything to say, but I thought that was odd - never seen that before.
