Just reporting the Embers XD mod updated and change the texture path, so the patch here is out ofalmost out of date now.
Version 2.7.4
Most Embers XD texture assets are now stored in "EmbersXD" folder instead of the legacy "EmbersHD" folder.
Edit - I should probably point out that is the beta download that will eventually replace the current.
Edit 2 - For those not reading to the bottom of this post, an update on this patch is no longer needed. mindflux reverted the changes that initially broke it, so all is working fine again.
Did you by chance install the newest version of Embers XD? mindflux reverted the changes I originally reported here, so the newest 2.74 listed on their mod page should work fine again with the patch on this page.
Edit - Ya, just tested. That is the case. The newest Embers XD does work fine with the patch on this page again.
Hi WeldingManDE! I think this is one of the best smelter replacers available on the Nexus, if not the best. I want to ask if it’s okay to port this over to Xbox, since Xbox players don’t have any access to the Nexus and can only use the official Bethesda website. You will be given full credit, as well as proper asset credit being given for any MA’s assets included. The original page will be linked in the description with an encouragement for players to endorse the mod. No money is ever involved. It’s solely for the purpose of sharing access :DD
Is it possible to make this compatilbe with clevercharffs realistic smelter? Currently they are not compatible. I love the effect (enb light, heat blur etc) but I personally like clevercharffs texture more. Is it possible to make a patch?
In Riverwood, using JK's Skyrim, all Lux packages, ENB Light, Embers XD. Looks like missing textures on the metal bits, but the only file overwriting your smelter is the optional Embers XD Patch that you uploaded. Nothing else is overwriting your smelter, just your patch. Version 1.2. Other than that, this such a high quality edition to my mod list. Thank you for uploading :)
Ars Metallica doesn't make any, well shouldn't be making any changes to the smelter, at least not graphical. The only thing Ars Metallica touches is the actual smelting process itself (stats and gameplay). I suppose it could just be JK's Skyrim and it's patches. They have a patch for a bunch of other mods like Embers XD, and other miscellaneous things, so I guess I could see if it's something on their end
So, Ars Metallica came with it's own BSA. I made a copy and extracted it and it only has a "fake torch nif". So it wouldn't be affecting smelters in that sense at all. I could bother the other mod pages I suppose. I'm not sure which page would need to add support for this mod
Just an update but when I was looking at the contents of your files, I noticed there wasn't a textures folder, just a meshes folder. I guess MO2 messed up on the first download and didn't include the texture folder with the main file. I redownloaded and it now includes both a mesh and texture folder. That's probably why I have the purple textures, sorry to bother!
Ironically I had the same issue with my smelters, but installing this mod fixed it. I am willing to bet it is another mod causing your problem like it was in my case (was unable to determine which mod). I use all the lighting mods you list above; no JKs skyrim nor Ars Metallica.
Update: The missing texture issue is reported on the High Poly Project page. The issue arises from a missing texture from Static Mesh Improvement Mod. Loading SMIM before HPP appears to resolve the issue.

Optimized mesh by InstantKor in version 1.2
Plans for the next update:
- Cubemaps on metal parts
- add more fancy effects
- add DLC and Dwemer smelters
Vanilla vs. Basic vs. EmbersHD vs. EmbersXD
Do you have any plans to replace this default model invsmelter01.nif with yours?

Will be looking for the update.
Thanks for the mod, nice little addition.

Tested and confirmed working with 2.7.4 of Embers XD (May 31st) and the patch here on the mod.
Thanks for pointing it out xcal68.
Thanks for reading!

Alternatively, this error is fixed in a patch found here: High Poly Project - My fixes SE-AE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
