Very nice mod, but I'm having a difficulty with the mod. Sometimes it works, sometimes only dead bodies, sometimes only the hostiles and friendly shows. I'm not sure why.
Hi! I have seen some people complaining about this mod working on some toons and not others. I had the same problem and it drove me mad. However, I finally figured out what the problem was: Spellsneak or "sneak attack with spells".
A lot of toons that use shads are playing sneaky toons and most mages that use sneak also use spellsneak to be able to sneak attack with magic. Spell sneak has a "cloak of darkness " effect to it and this is what causes the problem. Luckily you can turn off cloak of darkness through the spell sneak configuration but it would be awesome if it would work together with the detecting auras.
@MjMximus What the hell are you talking about? Sneak attack with Spells has had 3 bug reports in 4 years, and 2 of those turned out to not be bugs. The author is instantly responsive and updates regularly--13 revisions since 2018. I've used this for years with no problems.
I really like the automatic nature of this mod but it feels too op for my tastes. If there was a version that was dependent on the appropriate Alteration Detect spell before it worked automatically I would love it. Any chance of something like that? Otherwise, cool mod. :-)
It's nice mod but I felt this is too strong to see wide area. So I tried to shorten range by SSEEdit but didn't work well. I changed "Magic Effect Area" and "Spell Area" from 300 to 50 but I could not find any change. If possible, could you suggest me how to shorten?
Why only while sneaking? Oldrim had a mod called Glowing Enemies, a very useful mod (to avoid hitting an ally) when you are involved in multi-NPCs skirmishes like a civil war scenario. It is not being ported here and I missed it greatly. I tried manually installing it in my game, but the .pex file registered an error.
So my question is, can you make this "aura" stays with the enemies all the time, sneaking or no sneaking? Tyvm.
Worked great a few days ago, thought maybe "scoped bows SE mod" may have disabled the "detect dead aura" but I started a new character without "Scoped Bows SE" and still get only one working aura. Whenever I start a new character the detection spells either flip flop or do not work at all. I will continue checking mod compatibility and let you know. My current most recent mods that may have affected this mod are: Scoped Bows SE (Not conflicting) Shoot Straight-Faster Arrows and Bolts without Gravity (Not conflicting) Bullseye Perk Paralyze bug Fix (Not tested) No BS AI Projectile Dodge (Magi and Arrows) Immersive Projectiles Nondetection of Enemies (Not tested)
I use the "Dead Only" version for my necromancer character to detect dead corpses, but in your latest update. if I remove everything from dead bodies, they will not glow again, and I will probably loose them in the grass.
Yes, My necromancer looks around for corpses to take with him, and your mod's aura helps him a lot, but in the newest version, if I take the sabrecat's skin, the glow will disappear and I might not be able to find it again through the lush grass.
