Can confirm Fires Hurt RE and Fire Hurts NG CTD on Skyrim AE 1.6.1170, even on new game. Removed the 2 mods and everything works fine. BTW I'm running Embers XD and Lux.
Took me hours to find this one reply that solved all my problems. Thanks a lot! Crash logs kept pointing me in the direction of Fast HDT-SMP for some reason, and no actions with that one helped
Also getting CTD on 1.6.1179 Anyone come up with a solution? I had this mod running no problem on an older version, and have grown to like it. It would be a shame for it to be removed from my load order, but with CTD, I don't really have a choice!

- Is there no MCM, FOMOD, Optional file I can download for 1/2 or even 1/4th damage??

this mod isn’t community shaders so it would be a lesser priority. He might update, he might mot.
The TES class changed in the 1.6.1130 update, which this mod uses.
A fix for the TES changes exists in po3's commonLIB fork. It was suggested to port this mod into po3's fork.
