    This changed the names of the unique dragons in Wyrmstooth for some reason?

      Could be, those dragons must be marked as Unique. If you know their original names you could add the following line to either _DISTR file in this mod or create your own _DISTR file:
      Keyword = NNDUnique|DragonName1,DragonName2,...
      Replace DragonName1 and DragonName2 with actual names of the dragons affected I'll try to add a built-in compatibility for those.

      Yea, looks like they were missing the "unique" tag

      I updated them in a compatibility patch

    Dragon Priests also usually have names in the dragon language, although often only two syllables long instead of three.
    Well, most named dragon priests in original game are named with one word: Hevnoraak (Brutality), Krosis (Sorrow), Morokei (Glorious), Nahkriin (Vengeance), Otar (Madness?), Rahgot (Anger), Vokun (Shadow), Dukaan (Dishonor), Vahlok (Guardian).

    I see you used the word "usually", but from my in-game observations and your description it seems that all of them have names made of two words. If you ever plan(ned) on updating this or any other of your mods, you could take it into account.

    One more thing: dragon priest spirit in Hevnoraak also gets his name randomized, even twice. Maybe this would be better to add this as an exception for the mod.

      The quote is from corresponding UESP page.
      Though, the important difference is "two syllables" rather than "two words". In your examples there are plenty two-syllable names that can be deconstructed back to original words:

      • Nahkriin = Nah (fury) + kriin (to slay/slaughter)
      • Vokun = Vo (to undo) + kun (light)
      • Dukaan = Du (to devour) + kaan (Kyne)
      • Vahlok = Vah (spring) + lok (sky/freedom)

      Others are also two-syllable, albeit might not deconstruct as nicely into known/meaningful words, for example:

      • Hevnoraak = Hevno (brutal) + raak
      • Krosis = Kro + sis
      • Morokei = Moro (glory) + kei

      Anyways, even though, there are probably exceptions to this rule in existing known names, Dovah Names follow it more strictly :)

      Thanks for letting me know about Hevnoraak, if he gets renamed, then he's probably not marked as unique :) I'll check that.

      I didn't mean Hevnoraak himself, but the dragon priest spirit which appears twice in this location and just observes (I played with Nordic UI and its boss health bar which displayed random names for that spirit, I don't know if it is Hevnoraak's spirit or not).

      ah, then even more likely the spirit isn't marked as unique.

      You could test it by adding
      Keyword = NNDUnique|Hevnoraak
      to any _DISTR file. (Given that "Hevnoraak" appears in spirit's name).

    Now I'm gonna feel bad for killing dragons. Still, this is much better than having every dragon be named "dragon".

      uh, yeah, but in the end it's they who came to burn people across Skyrim and beyond

      I love the idea that each dragon has unique name in form of a Shout so that they could call each other from vast distances and know exactly who's been called Though, Dragons must deserve such a name that will represent their deeds in their dragon community Anyways, so much impact on the lore and a depth of the world with such subtle detail.

      Indeed. I love the dragon summon shouts for this reason, nothing like calling a friend by his name and have him arrive in a time of need.

    Any idea how to translate the name? By modifying the dragon word in the JSON file?

      Yeah, if you’d like to translate the names you can change the words present in json files to translated words and that’s all.

    Does this also rename already named dragons? Same question for your other mods and their respective NPCs.
    As far as I'm aware, even the named dragons use DragonRace, so I figured I'd make sure before installing it.
    Great work with these mods though, very good for immersion.

      Nope they don’t NPCs Names Distributor is the one responsible for renaming and it is configured by default to exclude everyone who already has a name be it dragon or nord or anyone else.
