If you were previously using version 2.2.0, 2.2.1, 2.2.2, or 2.2.3, please upgrade to 2.2.4. This can fix random freeze issues that may occur in the previous versions.
hi, I think PAPER_SKSEFunctions.GetWarpaintColors() may have been broken. In my testing, this function always returns a weird whiteish color. And this can also be verified by comments in this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/80466?tab=posts&BH=1. Can you plz take a look? However I am using 2.1.0 because the latest version causes a crash.
This mod causes random freezes for me from time to time. And the game did not crash, but simply froze and I had to press ctrl+alt+delete. This mod is to blame because I tried a variety of options and it was after disabling PAPER that the freezes stopped. UPD: I'm used the latest version 2.2.4
That would be very strange... prior to 2.2.4, it was a relatively common issue. But since 2.2.4, no one else has reported it in close to a year's time.
You could try reverting to version 2.1.0 if you like. Of course I don't know exactly all the other mods that have been developed over the past year which may require PAPER, but all PAPER-using mods that I am actually aware of myself don't need a higher version than 2.1.0. And 2.1.0 never had such issues.
same here for latest freezing occurs during combat, i only have the deadly combat mod, happens in meridias temple attacking skeletons. hmm. it is the skse version of deadly combat i am on latest version of skyrim 1.6.1170 skse 2.2.6 trying to see if this mod might be it.
hi. I'm currently on version 2.1.0 but I keep getting random freezes. It's not like it freezes when doing something specific like harvesting crops or entering a certain area. It just happens randomly while playing. Should I update to 2.2.4 or is the problem I'm having not due to PAPER? I'm on version 1.6.1170.
I haven't tested, but I assume it should. See explanation of how you could test it below (exactly the same as when Kulharin previously asked the same question for version 1.6.1130).
Not sure. If Address Library has been updated (I see it has), and works fully correctly (maybe? don't know, haven't been actually keeping up-to-date on this myself), there is a chance it'll work fine without updates.
I'm not planning to download that update and figure out myself though. Currently I'm not actively playing Skyrim at all, and when I am, it's still on 1.5.97 for myself. I'd very much appreciate user reports to tell me whether or not it works fine though. If it doesn't, I can look into updating (though, I would probably have to wait for CommonLibSSE-NG to get updated).
Whether or not it works should be fairly easy to tell for users who are willing to download the game update. If it's broken, the symptoms would very likely be crashes either immediately on game launch, or when hitting any NPC and/or looting any item. If none of those things cause crashes, it very likely all works fine.
I will maybe at some point soon try the update and see what is working and what's not. I too am on 1.5.97 ... I always roll back when I update. From what i can tell most NG or address library mods are ok still... some require a special touch.

I couldn't say whether or not the scripts are properly 'optimized' as intended, but I can say PAPER does not appear to be causing any issues in the current version of the game.
If all the EBT features function as intended (you actually see the blood spatters and sometimes dead NPCs having some spasms shortly after getting killed and things like that), then it all works fine.
