I had one question; is there a way to alter the position of the glasses on the face to make them a little higher or lower? Not a big deal if not. I can always adjust eye height to match in race menu, but I would appreciate it if I could simply put the glasses a little lower.
I know Caenaveron's Glasses Pack Vol 1 does that in Bodyslide, but I haven't tried to implement that. For mine, if you want to adjust them you'll have to raise/lower them in nifskope or Outfit Studio. I find Outfit Studio to the the easier of the two to work in. Just remember to overwrite instead of saving as a new file.
Excellent mod. Install a lot of College of Winterhold mods like Obscure and Spell Packs and you can play as Harry Potter without buying the Harry Potter games.
They should be craftable at a forge. Unfortunately I'm pc-less at this time and can't see if I messed anything up, so if you can't find them, try something like AddItemMenu or console commands to get them. Use the search word "fwah", I put it on everything I make for Skyrim.
Thank you, I couldn't find a console command for glasses! Unfortunately I'm currently stuck in t-pose hell so finding the glasses is the least of my concerns haha. (They were not at the forge, though. Locked behind a perk?)
I don't think you did anything wrong. I'm assuming I messed something up, but can't check because of the whole pc-less thing currently. So unless someone else says they are not having this issue, try an earlier version of the glasses. The only thing the newer files have that the old ones don't is khajiit compatibility.
that's the thing, i'm playing a khajiit lmao. so that's the thing i need. i'll figure it out later. definitely hanging onto your mod, it's the only good glasses mod on the nexus that allows for khajiit.
That'd be alot of work for a mod I don't use. I'm not going to, but if anyone wants to make a patch themselves they can. I'm 90% sure it'd be easier to make entirely new frames for each of the furry races instead of adapting my meshes to each head shape.
I'm not sure why, but with the most recent update the glasses are no longer visible while equipped. They exist in my inventory but not on my character's face. I uninstalled the update and went back to the previous version which works fine for me.
That was an embarrassing mistake I made with the last update. It somehow had a previous version of the esp that had the items still using slot 41. I feel silly. Seriously though, thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I found a very minor conflict, with HDT-SMP Physics Racemenu Hairs and Wigs by Cornflakes1023. Apparently Slot 41 halts physics and makes the hair static, any chances of an alt version using 43 or 44, or something else? Would patch myself if I knew how, would recommend slot 44 since Realistic Eyeglasses uses it and it would flow seamlessly.
This is something I've noticed as well recently. It's on the list, but I've been working on another mod of mine currently. Though honestly this'd take very little time.
I really love this mod! Unfortunately, equipped glasses do not appear on my Khajiit character and friends. I assume (with out evidence) the glasses would need specific placement instructions due to the beast races (except Orcs, who may in fact be elves) having very different head sculpts. I do not know how involved it would be to make them fit on Khajiit and Argonians and I understand most people stick to the humanoid races,so I just ask if there is any possibility for beast race comparability in a future update. Thank you very much for your time, and have a nice day!
Just noticed this. Yeah, I didn't make Khajiit or Argonian versions. I can look into it, but from what I remember about the beast races off hand, they use entirely different meshes to the human and elf races. It shouldn't be too hard to make a version that fits them. I'll look into setting that up after I get some pics of another mod I'm (hopefully) releasing tonight. No gurantees though.
Finally got around to making the khajiit ones. Results will vary depending on your head shapes though. The khajiit ones will only work for khajiit. Lemme know if something isn't working right.
I just posted a bug relating to the updated glasses (the ones made for Khajiit) not showing up on Vampire Khajiit. Probably a simple fix. Also the glasses look very good on normal Khajiit so I look forward to the update.
Updated yesterday, please let me know if they're working. I haven't had the time to sit down and test them, but the khajiit vampire race was added to the khajiit glasses in the ck. Should be working.
Do these add a slot or do they take up a space for like a bandanna or a hood ? I try to make my character as immersible and like myself as possible, and this is just what I needed, but I also use a bandanna and a hood, and I would hate to lose one of them! :(
They use slot 41, so as long as your bandana or hood doesn't use the same slot, should be fine. I'm not aware of any mod that adds slots. There will be some incompatibly, but I can't know what with because of just how many mods there are.
