Quick overview
(detailed overview further down)

Dynamic Cluttering
No more decieving clutter. Dedicated shelves and crates can be found throughout the tower, displaying only the items you actually have stored. The soul gem pile will only display soul gems if you actually have any in storage.
The same is true for potions, ingots, ingredients and more.

Conditional cluttering
Certain clutter and decoration will only be visible if you have completed a certain quest. Completing the Mage Guild questline will add a small Eye of Magnus to the display table for example.

Automatic sorting and linked storage
Several named containers are spread throughout the tower, each linked to a dedicated chest in the storage area.
A sorting chest allows you to quickly send items to designated containers.

Display options
Aside from standar display options like mannquins and weapon racks, prepared to get mesmerised by the new Weapon Hover Stands.
Collectable items, including (but not limited to) dragon claws and priest masks are also available.

Spell practice
Raise your restoration skill by defending yourself from a flurry of firebolts, or hit the target dummy with destruction spells. Any of the five schools can be practiced by performing designated tasks.

Special spells
Open a portal back to the tower from anywhere in the world, or summon minions to guard it in your absence. Sacrifice a soulgem to conjure a salt atronach for harvesting salt piles.

And more..

Obtaining the tower:

An undisccovered mapmarker to a ruined tower south of Falkreath gets added to the map when you first install the mod. Make your way over there, loot the treasure chest for the tower plans and construct the tower using the drafting table.
A quarry and wood chopping block has been placed nearby.

Q & A

Do I require Anniversary Edition for this to work?
No, you don't. The required files do not need AE either.

Are there any room for kids?
No.

Are there room for companions?
There exists a single guest bed.

I have an idea that I think will improve the place. Will you add it?
Maybe

Detailed overview:

Dynamic cluttering
A system for dynamically cluttering the tower has been added to Ingots, ores, ingredients, leather, scrolls, potions, poisons, soul gems and food.
While limited to vanilla items only, certain shelves and crates will be populated by items that are stored in its designated container.
Unlike bookshelves, there is no cap to how many items you can store, but there is a cap to how many items will be displayed.

Ores and ingots will display only what is stored; i.e you won't see any iron ingots in the pile if there are no iron ingots in storage. Furthermore, ores and ingots will not display more than 10 of each type of item (for example, while there are ~50 ingot display spots, only 10 iron ingots will be displayed)
Potions follow the same logic, displaying only what is actually in store with one exception; player made potions are assigned a random model.
As for food and ingredients, only one sample will be displayed if you have atleast one sample in storage. In addition, not all ingredients or food are covered.
Leather, soulgems and scrolls will simply ccount the number of items in it's container and display that many items (up to a certain maximum).

It is worth noting that the display items cannot be picked up directly, but are instead linked to the container holding the item.

Conditional Cluttering
As you complete quests in the game, additional cluttering will appear. The following quests will add clutter and decorations to the tower if completed:
- All College quests required to learn master spells (adds a constallation of the mastered school of magic to the study)
- The Eye of Magnus (adds a small Eye of Magnus to the display table)
- At the summit of Apocrypha (adds an open black book to the display table)
- All Black book quests (adds flying books, piles of black books, fonts of magica)
- The quest for Arvak (adds Arvak's skull to the display table)
- Bloodline (adds a small gargoyle to the display table)
- Alduin's Bane (adds a small Alduin to the display table)

Automatic sorting and linked storage
The storage area (if constructed) features a collection of all items stored in named containers. Other named containers in the tower are linked to these.
A sorting chest allows you to quickly send items to any of these designated containers.

Display options
Aside from vanilla display options, Valtara Tower features a unique type of weapon display called the Hover stand. Any weapon placed here will slowly begin to hover in a mesmerising way.
There are also special display cases for jewelry.
There are also options to display collectable items. Collectable items that do not fit a specific category can be put in the Display table in the study. The following items can be put on display:
- Paragons
- Dragon claws
- Priest masks
- Elder scrolls
- Black Books
- Initiate's Ewer (display table)
- Dragon burial mounds map (display table)
- Dwemer control cubes (display table)
- Dwemer control rods (display table)
- Runed Lexicon, Extractor and Attunement sphere (display table)
- Skull keys from Ragnvald (display table)
- Bug jars

The relaxation area
Unlocking the relaxation area allows access to the bath, which will provide you with a long lasting buff to disease resistance. You will have to spend a few seconds in the bath before it takes effect.
There is also a spot for meditation that provides a buff to magicka regeneration.

Spell Practice
There are options to level up your magic schools in the tower.
Alteration: Use the transmutation table to transform ores into ingots. If you know the transmutation spell, you can turn iron ore into silver, and silver into gold ore.
Conjuration: Use summoning spells in the conjuration circle.
Destruction: Attack the target dummy with destruction spells.
Illusion: Was planned, but never implemented ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  Sue me.
Restoration: Keep a ward raised while standing on the seal on the floor near the flame in the study. Firebolt will be hurled your way.

Unique spells:
The spell to return to the tower is learned automatically as you explore the tower.
When used, it summons a portal infront of you. Entering the portal will cause the mana cost of the spell to increse significantly. This extra manacost diminishes over time however, and the spell returns to its normal casting cost after 24 hours.
Within the tower is a special archway that will take you back to wherever the portal spell was last cast.

While inside the conjuration circle, two new spells are available; Summon Dremora Guard, and Summon Storm Guard. Both these spells will summon guardians. They serve little funtion beyond aestatic resons.
If your conjuration skill is high enough you will also gain access to the summon Salt Elemental spell. When summoned, you can attack them with a melee weapon to harvest a limited amount of salt. You do need to sacrifice a filled soulgem for this however.

Tutorial messages
Expect a few pop-up messages to remind you of some of the above stuff while you are exploring the tower.

Update instructions
If, and only if, you are updating from an earlier version, please do the following befor you install the latest version:
- Empty all bookshelves
- Clear the planters in the study
- Clear the potion shelf

After installing the update:
- The old planters will likely be stuck where they were originally. Use the console to disable them.
