About this mod

A simple standalone sword mod. Craftable and temperable, not found anywhere in game otherwise. Similar stats to a Daedric sword. Modelled from scratch in Blender with similar tri-count to existing vanilla swords, 2k textures for the blade and 1k textures for the scabbard, also similar to vanilla Skyrim.

Hello!
This is my first, properly released mod: A simple weapon model. It's a katana with some gecko patterns on it.

How to Obtain:
The "Gecko Katana" is craftable in-game at any forge, with the Steel Smithing perk. It's also temperable, but does not appear in any location in-game.
It has similar stats to a Daedric sword, but is based off the vanilla steel sword's .nif and CK entry.

As of 1.1.0, this mod adds both a one-handed and two-handed version of the same sword. Two-handed values are similar to the Daedric greatsword.

Technical Specifications:
The model, including the scabbard, has about 3,500 tris and uses a 2k texture for the blade and 1k for the scabbard. It's roughly comparable to a vanilla asset, so you should have no issue using this in game.

Images shown are both in-game screenshots (With an ENB, Silent Horizons specifically) as well as PBR-based renders in Blender and Substance Painter. These PBR renders do not represent how the blade looks in-game, but does reflect the desired appearance of the model once implemented in-game.

Requirements, conflicts:
The mod adds a single item, a crafting recipe and a temperable recipe. They use related, unique names and relevant file paths, with no dependencies. This should not conflict with any mod, nor does it require any mod.

I've tested it on 1.5.97 and 1.6, and had a friend test the mod. During the testing, it worked as intended with no issues arriving. This was not comprehensive testing; If you find any issues, please report them on the mod page and I'll try to resolve the issue.

Credits and Permissions:
