Hello everyone, I think I've finally got this over to the Special Edition. All my testing showed seems to have positive results. I am looking into the damage balancing and will keep an eye on this mod throughout the day to try and make sure everyone has an easy time with downloads.
Well this is a fun little mod, but noticed a bit of a problem after using it for several hours... I'm not getting any exp towards conjuration for using this spell (conjure familiar) in or out of combat. Hard to level a new summoner if my skills don't progress.
he set the base cost of the spell to 0. and since conjuration exp is granted from the base cost of the spell you get no exp. I would not recommend changing that value back though as it's used in the calculation to determine which familiar should be summoned
Strange, when I activate this mod on my mod order the game crashes at main menu ^^'.
Well, now, in January of 2023, using the same files to restart my mod list, there is no issue, so not sure what was hapenning. But now it works xDD. So I was testing, and altough there are no conflicts, except one: "Path of Sorcery" adds various perks to all magic schools including, of course, conjuration. And almost all of the perks work, except one; "Witch's Familiar". This perk gives you a lesser power that when used while holding in both hands an atronach, familair or dremora spell, it becomes like your favorite and it is permanently boosted until you cast that lesser power again with bot hands empty, which resets it. Sadly, it seems in "Path of Sorcery" as a safeguard any spell that is not vanilla isn't accepted. So when I try to covnert the Familiar spell, tha system tells me that spell can't be chosen. Would a Patch for it be possible? It would be appreciated. I'll write to PoS too, in case they prefer to do it.
works perfectly but definitely could use some balancing. i feel like i got the sabrecat way too early, its 1v3ing climactic battles that im stuck on at lv 14
Totally not related to this mod, but figured anyone here might know the answer to this question! Does anyone know of a mod that makes the conjured familiar death sound much less startling/more quiet? Thanks!
great idea for a mod, it could be executed better though. I'd love to have something like this but as a thrall that doesn't count toward your conjuration limit.
This might never be responded to, but is there any way to make it so that we can keep the level scaling for the Familiar spell, but make it so that it ALWAYS summons the same "type" of Familiar (such as a wolf)?
