Description:
Tweaks the appearance of the soul gems from Skyrim Remastered - Soul Gems to appear more natural and make filled gems more visually distinct.
Changes:
- All gems have a shinier surface, with a more natural spectacular color
- All gems have a darker, less colorful texture
- Unfilled gems have no emissive, they only reflect external light sources or refract backlight
- Filled gems emit a bright color
- Filled gems (only) have ENB lights, curtesy of Rudy (with permission, of course, thank you!). They should be set up to not have issues with decals or inventory zoom, let me know otherwise.
- Adjustments to color schemes
- Excluded non-soulgem items from the mod, such as gem holder, dwemer container, azuras star etc. I prefer to use other mods for that myself, but if you want them in the Skyrim Remastered style, just install this on top of the original!
Installation options:
A. Standalone: Install this mod alone if you ONLY want the soul gems (original plugin included)
B. As a patch: Install the original mod and then let this overwrite, if you want to keep all the stuff in the original mod.
Optional:
- Install my ISC patch on top of either A or B if you want ISC sound effects with the gems: Skyrim Remastered - Soul Gems - ISC patch
- Install the non-enb patch if you don't use ENB. Its not a hard requirement, but will make inventory models the right size without having to use ELIF.
Recommended: Use ENB Light Inventory Fix (ELIF) for consistent inventory item size. I'll consider making alternative versions too, such as non-ENB.
Credits:
gochargers2156 - For the original Skyrim Remastered - Soul gems. Go download and endorse it even if you use this stand-alone!
Rudy - for all contributions to the community in general, and ENB lights for this mod in particular.
Known issues:
Large inventory objects - this happens on all items with ENB lights unless their inventory size is manually adjusted or you use ENB Light Inventory Fix (ELIF). I recommend the latter since it is a simple fix.
