Hello everyone. I bet you thought this was abandoned. Well you thought well, I dipped with full intention of just walking away. But I've returned for whatever reason.
After Bethesda's ruckus with their silly little updates I had a truly hard time setting up things again for modding, but I've finally done it. I'll be working in this mod's next update which has already a 65% progress. To be honest I don't even recall if I did the whole thing from scratch, but when I went to check it recently there was another mod called "Camping Modular Expansion" which was pretty far in, so I guess I'm doing that now xd. It's basically the same as in there are still the basic, intermediate and advanced camping supplies (and a cleaner code, which is sweet), but I've added the ability to place an individual piece of furniture if you don't need the whole camp, you can deploy the single arcane table, alchemy table, your storage or bed, etc which of course comes with their own items. There was already the ability to have different shelters and some extra beds for followers that I finished debugging today.
I've replaced the silly smelting pot with an actual small smelter (a re-escalated vanilla smelter without the lying coal), but the stupid collision is becoming a pain in the rear, it refuses to shrink in scale and our only available tools to create collisions are nifskope, outfit studio??, blender with a nifskope addon and never in my life have I been so balked and utterly embittered with the mischievous pranks of these capricious pieces of software aiming to deal with this geriatric fossil of a game.
Well, I will finish it in some weeks hopefully (or maybe later, my intentions are to include some of your wonderful suggestions while I'm at it) and I've decided it to launch it not as a different mod, but as an update in this same page, without removing the older versions if you'd rather use those.
Thank you infinitely for your interest in this mod of mine. I know it's been innactive for a while, but know that I've not banished from the scene, I just got a job.
I do have full intention of returning to this mod and pimp it up including all of your suggestions. Right now I'm working on my other mod "Prodigious Bounty" and I'm close to finish it. After I do, I will return to work to this one. Please be patient, although don't hesitate on writing up your comments and suggestions in the meantime.
EDIT 1/18/2025: Well I tried to get back to this but I did it in a wrong timing where Bethesda kept updating the game and shuffling things around. I am trying to set up Visual Studio and Creating kit again, but it may take a while.
Added 3 safe containers, a Large Sack for general storage, a Satchel for alchemy ingredients and an Enchanting Supplies Crate for soulgems. They are deployed besides the shelter, the Satchel is laying upon the shelther, on the corner. Basic, intermediate and Advanced Camping Supplies include the 3 storage containers, so you can access your items with whatever camping supplies tier.
These storage containers are safe and persistent. When you deploy camp and store items, then you break camp, your items will be store safely "on the cloud", when you deploy camp again you will find all your items in the pertinent containers.
This is very powerful ingame as you can basically take virtually unlimited gear anywhere now, so be responsible of your own immersivenes and balancing for now. I may think of something to force balance in that regard.
When you click a container you will get the "somebody else is using this" message at the top corner, that's a lie and it happens when you activate something from a different cell because reasons. I will try to fix it without edditing the message altogether as I learn more about the engine, for now you'll have to pretend it's not there, sorry.
Fixed some navmesh issues, followers are more conscient of the camping assets.
Camping Expansion 1.2.0 Update
Nerfed the permanent storage. When you break camp all your stored items will go to your inventory automatically. If you build a camp, with an existing camp already, you will get a warning that doing this will destroy and forfeit every item stored in your previous camp if you proceed. If you'd rather have a permanent cloud-like storage, use 1.1.0 still, all old versions are available.
Camping Expansion 1.3.0 Update
IMPORTANT: This mod was further developed/ported in Skyrim SE 1.6.3 or namely "Skyrim AE" due some issues on my end. I don't suspect I will provide support for both versions because I don't have enough space to have an older instance. All older versions are available and you're welcome to try this version on 1.5.97 to see if it's not too broken and whatnot.
IMPORTANT: Misleading MCM screenshot - you don't need to restart the game to reflect the changes for faster deployment, they become effective immediately after toggling on or off. Fixed.
Added MCM support, thus SkyUi and SKSE are a requisite now. Added several options for you to tweak (check the screenshots). You don't need the ESL patch for No Smelting Pot anymore.
Added (in beta state) the ability to replace the Lean-to into a small nord tent. You can swap it in the MCM options. It works correctly, I call it beta cause I want to integrate this capacity on a more game-y, graceful way in the future. I just dropped this for now for the ones who dislike the lean to shelter.
Added compatibility for Go To Bed. Load order is: 1 - Go To Bed 2 - Go To Bed Camping Patch 3 - Camping Expansion.
It may work funky on the small nord tent, disabling tent collisions with Go To Bed integrated esp should make it better.
As always, the source is open and avaiable. It's quite messy because it's my code within the original's and there are many inconsistent conventions and whatnot, I tried to comment everything I did. If you need help with something on your edits and tweaks hit me up.
Fixed some bugs and annoyances.
Please let me know about inconsistencies, grammar accidents, bugs, etc on the bug section. Do feel free to drop your suggestions and requests.
Hey guys, I made a small add-on to this mod: CC's Camping Expansion - Wintersun patch It's for all you Wintersun users. Now, building advanced camp will also build the shrine of the god you're praying to. Shrine position configurable in MCM. Have fun! xGasilx, thank you for this expansion, I had a lot of fun deconstructing it to make my mod!
Hella rad friend, well done! I'm glad this mod contributed to your learning and creativity, thank you for sharing your creation and for letting me know. Congratulations on it friend.
It's weird. All I can do is take or drink. I have the constellations mod collection and added this mod into it. Drinking makes the basic camp supply disappear and take just adds it to the inventory. I don't gain any new powers, nada. What am I doing wrong?
thats to bad, first time i play is working, second time (new game) is no longer working this is good beta mod so far, better play while survive mode is on actually this mod support on AE 1.61170 or not..? or maybe still update next..?
Hello. To be sincere, I've been using it in the most recent update of Skyrim and it's working fine. It doesn't use SKSE plugins, it only uses some ordinary scripting and creation kit, thus Skyrim updates should not be an issue with this mod. Can you please elaborate on what is the specific problem?
xGasilx yap first time i play feature in "Magic" menu is working "Guide for CC camping expansion" Second time i play no longer working there, you have advice..?
Sorry friend, I have no clue whatsoever, it's the first time I read an error like this. My best advice would be to try a new game only with this mod activated and it's dependencies to see if it works. If it works, then maybe it's a problem with the loading order or a conflict with another mod.
I think you can just use it normally? Since I disabled the fast travel arrows (I think?) you can just use it in whatever space, unless bruma world is marked as an interior or something else. Maybe try playing around with the NMC options where you can either enable or disable the use of camping items in interiors.
Hello, thank you for your kind words. Yes, such feature is (or was) in my roadmap, but after bethesda broke my setup again and again I kind of got held back on the nuisance. I'm trying to set up things again to return to this work. Thank you for reminding me and sorry for the late reply.
Been using this one and loving it.Wish there a bigger tent option with two beds for advanced camping so I could see my follower and pet companion sleeping alongside my character
I'm glad you like it. Indeed, such commodities where in my mind to add to the mod, but bethesda's stubborn measly updates broke my setup constantly and I'm kind of having a hard time to use Visual Studio again to write my scripts. I will endeavor harder to get it working so I can update this mod again.
Hm, that's strange but may be more related to the way you have installed your cc content, I think I had issues like that in the past when I tried to manually move the CC content from it's default folder to Mod organizer's instance of the game. Maybe start looking there? Although you may have already solved this, sorry for the so late reply.

xGasilx, thank you for this expansion, I had a lot of fun deconstructing it to make my mod!
Always bugged me that I could not get rested while camping.
Or, maybe add a Rested status for the Intermediate or Advanced camping supplies?
That would seem like the better option.
Drinking makes the basic camp supply disappear and take just adds it to the inventory. I don't gain any new powers, nada. What am I doing wrong?
this is good beta mod so far, better play while survive mode is on
