This is not very helpful. I don't understand how to get the headpiece. I've read this multiple times, and I still don't know what to do.
"These are the console commands to add the head pieces: Help Lyn or Help Oola within the console will appear the ID number and you can simply execute this command afterwards: player.additem (ID number) 1 Be sure to add at least a 1 at the end (or how many you want)"
Can someone just explain it better? Or, better yet, put the headpiece's ID here? That would be great.
What the text is saying is that you need to make use of the "help" command to see the ID of each item.
We cannot give you the IDs because they change for each user. The way Skyrim mods work is by loading a bunch of assets into a certain set of addresses, which means that the ID of each item will depend on the other mods you have and the load order, etc... so the ID in your install of the game will be a different one from mine, because the base address is different.
The instructions are pretty clear but you do need to understand what they are talking about to understand what the commands mean. In any case, if you still need help after this long (it's been a few months since you made your comment...) I'll try my best to explain how to do it.
First, open the console (whatever key is it in your keyboard, usually º, which is under the escape key, or the tilde key, in case you are from a non english speaking country, then you should look for the equivalent keys, for example the Ñ key or whatever)
Once you have opened the console, you are going to use the "help" command. This command gives you information about whatever is it that you write next to it. For example, writing the command "help stormcloak 0" will spit into the console all of the things that exist in game that have the word stormcloak in their name. In this case, we're looking for items that the mod description says are named "Lyn" and "Oola".
So what you're going to do is type: help Lyn 0
and you will see all of the results of things (spells, items, armor, quests, etc...) that have Lyn in the name. Using the page up and page down buttons, you can scroll up and down the console to look through the list until you find the item you are looking for. Since they are headpieces, they should be labeled as Armor, I guess.
Then, once you are seeing the ID on screen (let's imagine that the ID is 1234 as an example), then you use the command: player.additem 1234 1
this command will give you 1 item of whatever the ID corresponds with.
Then repeat the process for the other item. You can do this with any item in the game, so this is useful for other mods as well.
Also, if you don't want to manually do this every single time, you can always look for mods that give you a menu to get items without having to look for their IDs manually.
I'm not sure if it all comes down to me using the Anniversary bla bla version of the game , but when I try to change my face 90% of the Race menu options lead to a CTD . That never happened with the older versions , I used to be able to make the most beautiful woman ever with this mod . I was was also using an older version of this mod , so that could be the problem to ?
I found a work around , I couldn't even find the female head niff files in my mesh folder for SSE so I renamed the one from my Legendary Edition and copy / pasted it into the Twilek mesh folder . Now every thing works perfectly again , and I can make a beautiful Twilek .
I'm going to look into this, but nothing is immediately obvious with re-saving the plugin through creation kit. It seems specific sliders cause a CTD now as opposed to the past as I have some Twi'lek presets that work, while I have others that don't, probably from setting these sliders. (e.g. age in Racemenu 2) For now it seems to work if you don't adjust the broken sliders but I'm not sure what the solution actually is at present.
I didn't really go in depth for my exploration, I was able to use one of the default presets as a starting point and then change some sliders. It's not a good solution, basically any slider is like stepping on a landmine but it might work I guess? I wish it would work completely and haven't touched it since. If anyone has the time, I want to know if it works on a vanilla game.
knowing there are like three different versions of this for certain skin varieties but will there be one for demoniac type as well.Prefer it more than the three already here for this type of race
- Freeing any of the Twilek's results in them instantly marrying you (If you free all three of them then you will be married to all three, then again I have a Multi Marriage Mod installed so that might be why that's possible) - Some weird (non-sexy) s#*! happens when you try to kiss them including rag dolling and defying physics and gravity - Trying to give them an outfit (in my case via NFF) results in them losing their headwear. It was not a big deal as I was using AddItemMenu and re-added them to the girls. Didn't work for Aayla though, her head remain bugged out.
Mod conflicts are always interesting to hear about, I usually use EFF to manage their outfits and its worked well so give that a try. I have never had any marriage problems however, maybe it doesn't like custom races?
i will see any problems with nff as well and see any difference because i wanted to make a follower with this race mod but i will have to use lazyfollowers and make a preset based on this race first
