There is hope, but it's still work i'm not motivated for rn, as imo it doesn't help much the final look. But i'll remind you if i decide to work and post them
This is the cleanest upscale I've been able to find (and trust me I've tried them all); no awful artifacting, no strange color changes. A couple things need tweaks like some signs but otherwise wow, this is just what I needed. Thank you very much!
Very nice of you, thx for the comment :] It took several versions to pull good results but I'm happy to know it's finally doing good! I just released a patch concerning signs in Riverwood and Markarth banner btw
Markath banner texture missing or corrupt. Same for some textures in Riverwood. Oterwise excellent job.
My advice is to make an 2k overhaul. Your mode takes up to 12GB RAM with no other modes involved. RX6700XT under 60FPS with ENB. There is veeery little difference in visual feeling between 2k and 4K for most users but huge difference in performance required.
I know people do not think and they will download 4k straight away isntead of using ENB and Parallax. U get more endorsement. I see your point. <3
Well, you're not the only one telling me so. I simply stopped releasing 2k versions because they were not very used. But i guess i should again. Then, i need to make some hand selection because some very needed textures benefit the 4k (i have spent some time looking that up). But all things considered, i'll try to release that when i have time! Thx for the glitch info, it's already noted, i just haven't worked on it for some time :/
Huge job, but x8 variant ? 4K textures are still almost never used for landscapes in modern AAA games. Because this is really a lot, even for the RTX 4090. 4k texture consumes 4 times more video memory than 2K. You can compress textures from x16 to x8 and I think it will be good for visual and optimization.
The 'oil painting ' effect is basically a byproduct of an overfitting model. This basically means that the model I estimated to be the best (on average) in terms of cleanness/pixel restoration, is a bit too trained and that sometimes do that effect on some textures. I believe it was a lot worse on previous versions of the mod. I think that from far it isn't a big deal (and usually means the texture is well restorated) but up close I agree it's not good looking at all. The main goal of my next version will be exactly about lowering that effect by training new models
I'm going to look up that issue. Never saw it so far but probably my mod. Also ik I made an oopsie because Markarth has some placeholders flags.
@SME99 you know you can make a new post, because here it's tagging the first dude too... This pack has no normal maps at all. It only focus on color maps. No other type. So it 100% uses base game normal maps. Some are bugged in the base game. But it is possible some signs have messed up color maps in this mod. Any examples?
I created a new thread in the bugs section and took some screenshots. Thanks for your hard work, I really appreciate it. These are probably the best upscale textures available and it's great to see you're maintaining it!
Can I safely uninstall this mod mid playthrough? In Windhelm in the near of the stable there are missing snow textures and I see there a two squares. After I deleted this mod it was solve
It never is safe by default to uninstall any mod mid playthrough. Definitely, back up ur save folder, then try to load the game without the add-ons. Then it is likely to delete all ur saves so go fetch the backed up ones and put them back.
Hi, I used the previous File of your mod.I changed to the new update since I had to start from the beginning.I have 2 questions.Works your mod with the AE Edition I think so?Can I use it with my Resolution (3440x1440)?Before the update I saw a huge difference but I don't know if the new update of your mod works in my new save because it seems not.I Installed it via vortex the full package and enabled all Plugins within.
Hello, it works on the AE just like on the SE as AE is retro-comp. Yes, the current version is definitely useful at 1440*3440. If the former version made a difference, this one should be even more noticeable. You picked V1.0 4k Overhaul Pack right? Also can I have your load order?
Miscellaneous Pack seems to have some compression issues. I can't open it with 7z, nor install it in Mod Organizer 2. I haven't downloaded the Weapons Pack yet, but I suspect it has the same problem since none of them can be previewed in nexus...
You are totally right. I can't preview them either. The uploading process took very long so did the 'processing' by nexus. My bet is it messed them up. Especially considering it's precisely these ones that took the most time. I'm removing them rn, and will reupload them tomorrow as for now I only have access to my phone. Thx again :]

Is there any hope that you can make them optional? Regardless of their size after

Thx for the feedback :)
I think your textures are the most detailed from all all-in-one upscaled texture packs @ Nexus.
Some textures have something that looks like an oil paint effect. Most of the time i like it but i can understand other people don't.
Also i'm having black signs in Riverwood. Are there any other people with the same problem?
