Yesssss, I am using Thieves Guild For The Good Guys and am very annoyed that I could not remove/store the letters requesting help even when the quest is already completed. Thanks man.
This mod is so brilliant :) I can't believe it doesn't have thousands of downloads! For years I have had to cart around quest items I had no intention of picking up in the first place, let alone completing the quest. At last I can drop items or at least put them into containers for later :) Definitely gets my endorsement for mod of the month - obviously it could break quests is used wantonly but used with care this will be one of the most used mods I have downloaded in ages :) :) :)
I am using it in Skyrim VR - so important to note you equip the dropper ring by pressing the right trigger button, and you press the same right trigger to drop the item, not the usual X button on the left controller...
I couldn't drop quest items, but every time I read anything in my inventory, quest item or not, I would drop it when done, lol. Also entirely by accident, I right-clicked my armor which made it fall to the floor?? And whenever I picked it up and tried to equip, it onto the floor it went again! Deactivated this mod and all is back to normal.
This is useful for when you are stuck with items after a quest is finished. This is all Bethesda's fault. There is no need to make unique items a quest alias. Those are only needed for vanilla items that are renamed as someone's axe in a quest for example or for repeating quests like kill bandits. Please people, don't use un-needed aliases.
Yes exactly, also I never liked that they forced you to keep quest items in the first place. A notification when you remove quest items would have sufficed.
This is very much needed for when i back up my character then start new with him. Some times I back up and he has quest items I cant seem to get rid of. so this is a god send. Thank you!

Edit: Nevermind, I figured it out. Neither are needed.
