5 year necro, but where exactly are your items located at High Hrothgar? Checked all over the courtyard and in each tower and didn't find anything. Not sure if I bugged or if there's a conflict with JK's High Hrothgar that removes the container or something.

    That's a very great mod!
(I was writing a longpost here before, but it got deleted :(   )

Basically, I wanted to post some ideas that can be used to make the mod more realistic and immersive.
We can make this mode use different tweaks depends on the circumstances of character death, for example:

    1. Died upon the bandit attack, bandit camp, mine and etc - you lose all your items and gold upon death, but you can revive them all because bandits were likely to obtain all your items as a trophy upon your death, so maybe we can even make a quest about reviving all lost items back. You can find your items being worn by bandits, or in their chest, so you have to kill them all and find your items in their treasury, your quest items wasn't touched as it has no value to them. When you revived after death your body was found at a nearby spot where you were killed, as your body was treated like trash, so they just removed it outside of their camp (could be a safe spot for you until you try to revive all the items back.) I think it's logical since your items would be more valuable NPCs something they can use, that's why you can obtain them back

    2. Died upon animal/creature attack (option 1)- all your food and ingredient items are gone (Completely, creatures must eat to survive, tho). Your light armor can be torn apart completely and heavy armor might have severe damage, or they just lost their quality (In case if they were upgraded in smith). Basically broken armor and tools, or just they have severe damage.

(Death upon creatures/animals, option 2) Upon your death, you lose your items one by one (besides already gone food and ingredients), the longer you take to revive the body, the more items will disappear from your dead body (Who knows how it happened, maybe they taken by muggers, or taken away by rain, snow, and just gone in general, maybe sabertooth found a new toy for its kittens, I don't know). Your body when you found might move a little bit away from where you died as natural events can swift it away or animals tried to toss you apart. Something in this nature, just to make it more realistic. Maybe you can revive your items too, but you have to ask local people for any rumors if anybody found a loot or something.

Please please please think about it!

It can possibly go further, if you are shrined with Dibella, speechcraft is set to 0 for 8 hours, Julianos you have you magicka regen set to 0 for 8 hours, etc basically their blessings turned into curses for the same amount of time. Could also be set up for things like Dibellian defender where tatoos must be reapplied after death. This is a wonderful mod and has been in my mod list since i found it (thanks mxr) a year ago

Is there a version of this mod that allows you to keep the stendarr amulet? I dont want to give up my amulet and I rather venture to get my soul back. "Would you like to sacrifice your amulet to receive mercy on your soul?" would be cool.

Such a fan of this mod. Love the original vision the best. Tried them all. The simplicity of this is great and allows for RP atleast for religious players since you can tie it in with your shrines and worship. Not a fan of the idea of a guard in an inn guarding my soul.

I know noone will see this, but is there the possibility that this could be ported back to Oldrim?

Author hasn't logged in since 2018 and modding for this game has slowed down pretty harshly, so no probably not.

Extract the bsa with BAE, install the resulting scripts manually, then open & resave the esp in the CK.
EDIT: Yeah, works fine. Easy-peasy to port yourself!

I died in Shroud Hearth Barrow. I could not get back inside because a door locked behind me. I had to cheat and COC my way in. I think it bugged my soul shard out though because I could see it but I could not retreive it. Anyone got any ideas?

Just stumbled upon this. Such a cool idea, moving my Skyrim gameplay even closer to Dark Souls in a lore-friendly manner. :)

    Definitely gonna try it out!

Anyone know how well this works with death alternative?
Y'know, making it so when you first "Die" death alternative triggers, but if you run out of the redbar and would normally "Die" even with death alternative this triggers?

From what I've seen in my own run it seems iffy, sometimes it goes off, sometimes it doesn't, but it seems like more often than not it doesn't go off. But they do work together at least.
I haven't done extensive testing, but it looks like if you go into bleedout, then get back up into the 'true' death this works some of the time. But it doesn't work if you get killed via killmove or die while unconscious, at least not that I've seen.
