Overview
Alright folks so this is my first mod, so if there's any weirdness or it's not working right then that's probably why. It's a pretty simple texture replacement so in theory it's shouldn't muck up anything. I'm also not much of an artist, but I feel as though I have an eye for good design. It's one of those situations where I have the vision for what I want to do, I just don't always have the skills to properly execute on it. If you encounter any issues with this mod please let me know, I will attempt to fix it if I am able. So, what does all this mod change?



This mod replaces the texture for the following magic rune spells:
  • Fire Rune
  • Ice Rune
  • Lightning Rune
  • Poison Rune
  • Ash Rune
  • Frenzy Rune

Q: What did you make these with?
A:
Inkscape, GIMP, Two frogs, 1 quart of motor oil, a sassy goat, and 13 kilos of raw uncut Columbian mana crystals (privately sourced)

Q: So does any of those nordic runes or daedric runes say anything?
A: Yes. Every rune was carefully thought out in their design. Some of it will be less than straightforward; much like an ogre, it has layers to it. The basic idea is that the nordic runes (localized magic native to skyrim) along the outer anchoring ring spell out (and draw forth) the letter names of the daedric runes (exotic, more powerful magic) to power the transmutation circle. The daedric runes in turn spell out three words related to the function of the rune (ex. Fire Rune - Molag (elven word for fire), Fire (self explanatory) , Ingis (latin word for fire). The smaller inner ring contains alchemical symbols related to the rune. Most runes follow this template. If none of this makes sense it's because I was a little drunk when thinking it all out. 

Q: What was the design inspiration?  
A: I wanted to make runes that made sense in their design in a magic-science sort of way. Half of the designs are inspired by alchemical transmutation arrays from Full Metal Alchemist, a show which features magic in a sciency sort of way. I also wanted to keep well away from that generic arcane circle stock image that people use in everything, you know the one.

Q: What's the resolution on these?
A: They all should be 2k. No 4k release is planned, be nice to your vRAM.

Q: Is there a LE version?
A: No, not currently. It's just a simple texture replacement so theoretically it should work just fine as is.

Q: Will you be doing the Paralysis Rune from the creation club?
A: Maybe, it's one of those 'when I get around to it' sort of things so no ETA any time soon. 

Q: Does this change the rune created from Dawnguard Runehammer?
A: Yes & No. Yes it changes it, because it uses the fire rune texture. No, it does not give it a unique rune texture (ie. Sun Rune). Changing that would be above my current abilities.

Q: Are you gonna do Runes added by other mods?
A: There's a bit more to this than you would expect, for now I'm going to leave things well enough alone.

Q: Any compatibility issues with other mods? 
A: Obiviously it's incompatible with any mod that changes textures for the Rune Spells. If you're using something like Ultimate HD Fire Effects then don't select the option for the flame rune in that mod as it may cause compatibility issues with this mod.

Q: Will you be making any more mods? 
A:   ~Maybe~
