Expands upon the Muffled spell/enchantment. When moving, while the spell is active or wearing an item with the Muffled enchantment, the player/NPC will longer have audible footsteps. This effect is also applied to ghosts to help make them more unique. Immersion++. Zing.

Added patch for Audio Overhaul Skyrim
Updated patch for Immersive Sound Compendium to utilize Muffled Footsteps Expansion.esp as a master to help with sorting issues in LOOT.
Makes a metric poop ton of changes to Sound Descriptors for footsteps, which are rarely touched by mods. Also edits the ghost abilities to include the muffle effect.
This mod is incompatible with Quiet Muffle Footsteps For Player as it essentially makes the same changes. If you only want muffle to effect the player, than I would recommend using this mod instead.
