This may sound silly but I wish there was a requirement option added for being on a horse/mount. You can use the signs when riding a horse by using Better Third Person Selection.
Really I like what CFTO does, the only part I don't like about it is that it encourages the player to continue spending money on carriages even when they own a horse, which doesn't make too much sense as your character doesn't even use their time riding the carriage to sleep or anything. (Restful Carriages as a mod idea anybody?)
Like the idea of horse being a movement and fast travel tech upgrade, with the exception being that they can die or be lost and cause you to have to temporarily downgrade back to using carriages if the horse perishes or is simply not nearby.
Closest thing I can get to this sort of idea is to combine CFTO with Fast Travel By Horse SE but that does not restrict my travel destinations to settlements like this mod does.
I love your mod but there's seems to be a problem when using witcher horses expansion or at least that's what it says in the crash decoder. Whenever I fast travel and a horse is following me I get CTD. I really don't know what it is, I'll let the pastebin of the crash log here if anyone can help me.
I have a question my good sir. Have you ever considered making a simplified option, where interacting with the sign post, will open up the map for general fast travel use? Very similar to this mod here Sojourn over Signpost (the mod linked is broken and abandoned)
i only ask because your mod is a more complex accomplishment than the other mod, but you have it working perfectly!
have you tried seeing if they have a conflict? but as long as you dont have campfire and have "disable fast travel" uncheck in sunhelm i believe you can fast travel while still having this mod installed, this is mostly for survival mods
This is a dumb question, but is there a way to change the Gold Exchange sound effect to occur before you travel? Just feels kinda weird after waiting on the loading screen then hearing the sound. If I can do it myself I gladly will, just need to know how.
I really dont understand why this isnt working in my game. I have Lux via and survival mode improved + starfrost installed. I just cant interact with the road signs.
Lux Via had updates that are newer than this mod, it's possible that GGUNIT changed some road signs and whatever was changed is no longer picked up by the references in the SWAP file of this mod
I tested with Lux Via and the signs are being replaced fine. The requirements for this mod are Base Object Swapper and Powerofthree's Tweaks because the swap is done using the EditorID.
How will this interact with Journeyman? If I have the travel kit feature on this switched off and Journeyman active, will I be able to use road sign fast travel but only if I have a Journeyman travel kit?
This mod has most features Journeyman has, and more. Simply use this mod
Eh no... those two mods have different features. Journeyman disables (general) fast travel and allows it only with a crafted travel pack in the inventory. This mod doesn't disable fast travel by itself, but allows for fast traveling from road signs in games where fast travel is already disabled. These two mods should go pretty well together actually, if you want a less "hardcore" version of Journeyman
@camjp: the travel kit from Journeyman and the travel supply from this mod are different items, they are not interchangeable without a patch
If the travel kit is switched off and you have journeyman, you will be able to fast travel using signs without a kit.
If the travel kit if switched on, you will be able to using signs with the kit from this mod only.
I made a patch to make this mod use the travel kits from journeyman and then realized it didn't really make sense lol. Because if fast travel with signs requires a journeyman kit, why wouldn't you just use standard fast travel which also requires a journeyman kit.
The crafting recipes from this mod only show up if the travel kit feature is on. I recommend turning it off if you want to use this with Journeyman.

Would it be considered safe to install mid-playthrough?

Thank you all.
Thank you.

The only thing I can think of is that it might be a conflict with CFTO?
When I first installed this it was working fine, but I've added a lot since then and not sure at what point it broke.
To my untrained eye the Gunit didn't change the nif names so that the swaps still have the fitting names.
