I do have a similar issue but for males so it can't be this mod, it is something else and it is driving me crazy. For me some npcs blink slowly like they are bored and Sometimes they keep their eyes closed for 2 seconds after blinking and if you get out of dialogue they stay closed.
This problem is usually caused by the missing blinking expression in base Skyrim. When the player character is supposed to blink the facial expression gets stuck because it can't play. I read that Bethesda cut it out to make something work on their Playstation port.
The mod Mfg fix supposedly fixes this problem but I can't say that it helped me. What worked for me instead was Player Eyes Blink Fix. I'm using both together with no problem.
Oh and also, great mod! Totally forgot to praise it after writing this. Looks absolutely fantastic and lively in conversations.
Update: also make sure to install a compatibility patch when using Mfg fix and Player Head Tracking together because these mods are conflicting (a patch can be found on the Mfg fix page). And if you have removed Player Head Tracking also make sure that there are no leftover patches for other mods. These patches might also mess with Mfg fix.
Love this mod, game-changer in terms of NPC expressiveness. Any chance of a husbando edition for male characters? Now all my female NPCs are making these lively faces and the dudes are unimmersively solemn
