Intro

I really enjoy enhancements that Adamant brings to the Vanilla perk trees, but there are several details that were bothering me, so I decided to create this mod.

In short, this mod does the following:
  • Restores almost all perks that became "auto-perks" (except Purity, Physician, Critical Charge and Greater Critical Charge).
  • Restores few unique vanilla perks.
  • Removes perks such as Shadow CastingJewelry Enchanter and Armor Enchanter.
  • Adjusts affected perk trees to fit added perks while resembling constellations (see screenshots).

Here is a more detailed list of changes and reasoning behind them:

Destruction
  • Restored Destruction Dual Casting
  • Restored Rune Master

Alteration
  • Restored Alteration Dual Casting

Conjuration
  • Restored Conjuration Dual Casting
  • Restored Soul Stealer (Bound weapons cast Soul Trap on targets.)
  • Restored Oblivion Binding (Bound weapons will banish summoned creatures and turn raised ones.)
  • Restored Summoner (Can summon atronachs or raise undead two/three times as far away)
  • A small patch for Unofficial Creation Club Content Patch that fixes Soul Trap effect for Bound Arrows from Arcane Archer Pack.

Soul Stealer and Oblivion Binding are too unique to give up on them :)

Illusion
  • Restored Illusion Dual Casting
  • Moved back Quiet Casting (All spells you cast from any school of magic are silent to others.)

The reason for Quiet Casting is that I choose to believe that noise coming from spells is not something you can do about however skillful in Sneak you are. Instead spells are silenced by making people around you believe that they don't hear any sound produced by your spells. So that is an Illusion you create :)

Restoration
  • Restored Restoration Dual Casting

Enchanting
  • Restored Soul Squeezer (Soul gems provide extra magicka for recharging.)
  • Grouped Scribe and Seeker into a single branch to free up some space
  • Removed Jewelry Enchanter
  • Removed Armor Enchanter
  • The tree has been reorganized to follow more Vanilla-like progression (see screenshots)

Enchanting is the art of binding magical spells, so you're mastering different types of spells to bind more powerful and rare effects. That should not relate to any particular type of items being enchanted.

Archery
  • Restored Eagle Eye (Pressing Block while aiming will zoom in your view.)
  • Restored Hunter's Discipline (Recover twice as many arrows from dead bodies.)
  • Certain Perks (Steady Hand, Power Shot and Quick Draw) have been switched, to keep the tree close to constellation

Hunter's Discipline is restored as it brings a unique skill.
Switches in perks were made to since Steady Hand requires Eagle Eye.

Block
  • Restored Power Bash (Able to do a power bash.)
  • Merged Deliverance and Defensive Maneuvers into a single two-rank perk.

Deliverance didn't belong in the branch of Discipline, as that branch provides defensive effects, while Deliverance is more of an utility skill, just like Defensive Maneuvers.

Smithing
  • Restored Arcane Blacksmith and updated it's description to follow Adamant's wording (e.g. "improve items" -> "temper items")

Alchemy
  • Restored ranks of the Experimenter perk.

While I get that it is a quality of life perk, having the ability to reveal all effects of the ingredients as soon as Alchemy 30 removes an actual joy of discovering hidden alchemy effects.

Sneak
  • Restored Muffled Movement (Wearing armor makes half as much noise when you move.)
  • Restored Silence as the 2nd rank of the Muffled Movement. It was renamed to Silent Movement. So it acts as a 50/100% reduction of the noise while moving.
  • Moved Quiet Casting to Illusion. (see Illusion)
  • Removed Shadow Casting

The whole sneak spells idea just isn't for me - I don't like magic being governed by physical abilities.

Speech
  • Restored Intimidation (Intimidation is twice as likely to be successful.)
  • Restored Bribery (Can bribe guards to ignore crimes.)
  • Removed shout perks and Speech XP from shouts (it's set to 0).

The idea of connecting Shouting to Speech is tempting, but for me Speech skill is purely a social skill tree.
I've created Dragonborn Aptitude - Dragon Souls Mod to complement that approach, so Shouts still can be improved.

One-Handed, Two-Handed, Heavy Armor, Light Armor, Lockpicking and Pickpocket are unchanged.
