Version 1.43 - Fixed incorrect formID in non-interactive .ini - Added option "Ignore Player". The Player will no longer be affected by Rugs - Added option "Enable Permanent Fixing". Holding Left Shift whilst fixing a Rug will make it permanently fixed.
Version 1.42 - Script Optimization: Limits the main function call to currently loaded rugs rather than checking every available rug (Interactive version)
Version 1.41 - Fixed incorrect rotation values on adjusted Rugs that were used as Wall Decorations - Added option "Ignore Wall Rugs". Ignores Rugs that have been rotated on the X Axis. For example, on Slopes or as Wall Decorations - Added option "Ignore Small Rugs". Ignores Rugs that have been scaled down. For example, as a table cloth
Version 1.4 - Cleaner implementation which swaps references instead of spawning new ones. This eliminates a bug that caused doubling of Rugs - Rugs that are hidden/enabled via parent are now ignored (ex: Khajiit Caravans) - Added rotation to increase variation of messy rugs - Tripping is ignored when God Mode is enabled (TGM in console) - Removed Blacklist.ini as it was no longer needed
MCM Menu added (MCM Helper Required) - Tripping Chance: Allows the user to set a tripping percentage - Disable in Homes: Rugs inside Vanilla & Hearthfire Homes will be ignored - Disable near Doors: Rugs near doors will no longer trip up the Player. This is to help prevent an activation/ragdoll combination issue that may rarely occur when button mashing - No Ragdolling: Instead of Ragdolling, will stagger the Player & NPC's. A requested feature, doesn't look good. - Auto-Rumpling: Trampling upon Rugs will automatically rumple them (randomized) - Movement Options: Allow the user to set what type of movement is allowed (Sneaking/Walking/Running/Sprinting)
Note: If you have Version 1.33 currently installed, it is highly recommend to uninstall that before installing 1.4, rather than overwriting. Ideally, a cleaned save or new game are recommended to avoid left over issues from 1.33
Note: If you find any references that are clipping or that you feel should be adjusted, please provide the formID and I'll look into it.
Is there some way to alter the percent chance there is for a rug to be rumpled? I love this mod to death but about 70-80-% of all rugs are rumpled rather than it being a just once-in-a-while thing. Didn't see an option in my MCM but I may also be blind.
I'm using the interactive version of RUGNAROK, and updated from 1.42 to 1.43, but now nothing is displayed in the MCM. 1.42 works fine, so I don't think the requirements are missing, and I tried checking with a new game, but now it's not even registered in the MCM.So I looked inside the bsa file, and compared to the 1.42 bsa, the internal structure seems strange, what do you think?
I'm getting flashing rugs (dragonsreach basement) right out of the gate using one of the most popular lighting mods for skyrim: ELFX. Is that expected ?
I can confirm that is a typo. You should report it in the bug section. You're using the non-interactive version where the typo is located. I'm using the interactive version which is unaffected, so I don't care. :P
for whatever reason this mod is causing me to crash either during the load screen loading in, or in the loadscreen into whiterun. does anyone know of anything this is for sure incompatable with? i would really love to use this and watch npcs fall on their faces. maybe i installed it in the wrong order or something?
Went to the bug section and saw the post of the other person having the same problem so i checked my papyrus extender and saw i also grabbed the wrong version. now its loading with this installed! cant wait to watch people trip.
This is hilarious mod xD. If you use Svellheim player home, author of Svelheim did entrance of house (inside) by using mats in every stair, so theres six mats to trip you when you enter :D
Shortly after my initial install I ended up aggroing Siddgeir by accidentally stealing something and he proceeded to eat s#*! on his way down the steps from his throne. 10/10 for immersion and comedy.
Just wondering what's the reason for not being able to disable tripping on the player only? I know it's gonna get old for me pretty quick, but I'd love to see some suckers take a dive.
Certain rugs are flickering with this mod installed. It doesn't seem to make a difference if I use detailed rugs or RUGNAROK, and as soon as I disable this mod the flickering goes away. Any ideas?
How does one go about doing that? I'm super interested in using this mod, and I'm willing to put in a little work if need be lol just depends on what needs to be done exactly
Edit: What lighting mod is most ideal? I've seen people having issues using LUX as well and I feel like ELFX and LUX are the two most commonly used lighting mods.
You would need to split the meshes into multiple pieces, maybe 4 is enough. Basically you are just increasing the draw call amount so that it plays nicely with the shadowcasters.
Maybe I'll do it myself at some point, kinda tedious but I like LUX too.
If by "flickering" you mean beeing lit bright and then dark, JS is right. But if you mean they turn invisible and reappear again, as csbx said, check your Papyrus Extender.

Thanks for pointing it out. I'll update asap. Let me know if 1.44 works, I'm tired.
Thank you for your quick response.
is replacing a rock cliff by where the Icerunner runs aground, not a rug.
it was probably meant to be 8E4D3 instead?
Interestingly I've gone back to the non-interactive version and rugs display normally--so maybe it isn't about ELFX ?
Hm. I guess I'll check for a conflict in my LO..
EDIT: SOLVED !!!!!!!!!!
It was user error. I didn't install Papyrus Extender - I assumed I already had it. No blinking rugs now.
