   Don't know how I found your mod but thank so much for this. This is the kind of mod that we lack, making the atmosphere more realistic and grim.

      May I suggest letters from/to wives/husbands, sons/daughters? Something like:
      
      "Dear Papa,
      
      Today I learned how to ride a horse; I fell a couple of times but I never gave up, I kept getting back up like you taught me.
      I wish you would've seen me Papa. I miss you, but I know you're working hard to provide for us. I hope you can make it for my birthday"

      Oh, some of those bandits almost certainly did. Trouble is, we don't know who nicked theirs versus who was actually married. :)
      
      Suppose that doesn't matter, though. It's all about your perception... And that extra bit of gold. As long as you can ignore the morality gamble. ;)
