Snorky can do what normal rieklings can't. He can switch between both: Melee (not only great swords) and Ranged weapons. He can use potions, swim, sneak, talk, sing and ride on his boar offered to you as a perfect pack mule (storage/chest) + Perks

This is a unique riekling. Snorky prefers to use bow and arrows but if the enemy gets too close, he can automatically switch to melee! No other riekling in the game can! Also Snorky come with a unique ability: as you mount on your horse, Snorky will summon and mount on his boar as well! A list of his unique abilities will be featured soon

Snorky takes the slot of a dog/pet/animal companion. So you can have both a follower and a riekling. Snorky can also equip any armor (light is better) that you give him, like a human follower. Also he can equip certain types of weapons, even with enchantment

INSTALLATION
First time? no problem! Go ahead as for a normal mod

Are you updating? If you are updating to the v2.3 (included) onwards, you should follow these steps:
1. take all the inventory from your current v2.2 or lower Snorky
2. dismiss your Snorky
2.1 (optional) open the console command, select v2.2 or lower Snorky, write "disable", press enter. Your old Snorky will disappear
2.2 (optional) hire a normal Riekling
2.3 (optional) go in a interior as empty as possible 
3. Save your geme in a new file
4. Install the new version, v2.3 (included) onwards. You can overwrite the old files
At this point your old Snorky will not exist anymore. The new file (v2.3 onwards) uses different reference numbers for Snorky and every item of the mod, that's why we have to do these steps
4.1 (optional) keep a buck up. If you don't, don't worry, I am leaving all the former versions available to download so you can go back at any time
5. load your saving and (if you did the optional step 2.2 dismiss the normal Riekling) hire your new Snorky.
6. save again, in a new file
7. use this to clean up your just saved file (it might be dirty might be clean already) - click here for the 46s tutorial 
8. enjoy!


HOW TO HIRE SNORKY
You can hire Snorky as you hire a normal Riekling
You need first to complete the quest given in Thirsk Mead Hall siding with the Rieklings.
If you have a humanoid follower hired you can face some bug. You might need to dismiss your human follower, hire Snorky and hire your human follower suddenly after (it's not me, it's a game bug).

Being a non-humanoid follower Snorky counts as pet, like a normal Riekling or a dog. So you can have your favourite follower and Snorky together!

Features:
Snorky can do a lot of things adventuring Skyrim with you. He can:
  • fight switching between Range and Melee weapons - from v1.7 [first public release]
  • swim! I have fixed it, how annoying was it? 
  • use potions
  • use poisons (automatically against enemies with higher level than player)
  • equip 2H axes - from v1.8
  • equip 1H swords - from v1.9
  • equip 1H axes 
  • equip 2H hammers
  • equip shields (no visible but present)
  • ride his boar Azee. Amazing! If you have other horses mod, your follower and now your pet can ride with you! - from v2.0
  • allow you to summon Azee (his boar) to be used as a pack mule: infinite storage! Azee doesn't fight and will run away from every combat (cannot be summoned in interiors - it works only in the outside world)
  • mounts and dismounts AUTOMATICALLY with you (no need to cast any spell anymore, I am leaving the spells in the game just for debug purposes) - from v2.1
  • Azee is summoned before riding and stays put with your horse after dismounting - from v2.3
  • might use some special animation randomly before and after mounting
  • Sneak and become invisible as you sneak 
  • use crossbow (the animation is... not so good)
  • Talk (I have some issues with the lip files, but I am planning to fix them soon) - from v2.4
  • ☯️ can say Taoist poems much like Master Yoda ☯️
  • Sing (war chant, boosts your stats). You can make a request or he will sing randomly in battle or on Azee
  • Drink (wine, beer, water - the last one added on purpose)
  • Summon Riekling Spirits to help you in battle. 1/8 chance it doesn't work. 7/8 you get at least 1 spirit, on it 1/2 to get a 2nd spirit and on it a 1/2 chance to get a 3rd spirit with their blessing. Spirits selection is quasi-random, usually you get rieklings (mauted, melee, or ranged), but you have a chance to get a war-boar spirit or a generic (globe) one. They will fight for you for few minutes (each different duration). You can use the power every 12h, only outside, not in combat, not sneaking, Snorky must have his Spirit Stone in his inventory
  • Alchemy. He can make some potion or refine some ingredients. Currently redgrass (x10 Scathecraw - a very powerful poison), Ancestor Moth Wing (butterfly effect - I don't want to spoil it), x10 Ash Yam (restore health). The results are improved if Snorky has his Alembic in inventory (you can now find it next to where you have found Snorky). So you have 2 variants, the one with and the one without his Alembic (it will allow you to make a butterfly potion)
  • [Coming soon] from v2.5 I am planning to make him hirable in different ways. Be patient ;) I wanna do few other testing first. If you have any suggestion pleas leave a comment. 

Debug
I have left some spell in his inventory that you can use for debug purposes
If you are playing inside dungeons made by other mods, the floor (especially stairs) can be buggy for Snorky that can go bellow it and get stuck or lost. I have made a teleport spell in case you lose your Snorky in your adventures

Description
Snorky, while riding can attack only with melee weapons, great sword (2H) is the best choice, can equip other weapons but the AI is not so smart with those others. Cannot equip range weapons while riding. Cannot start riding in interiors and cannot enter inside interiors if already riding. I had to set this because of his size, too many issues.

Snorky can sneak as you sneak. He will become invisible if far and sit when next to you.

Although Snorky can use crossbow and bolts, the best choice is still bow and arrows.

Normal rieklings are not able to do these stuff. By game standards, you are supposed to chose between one of the two options: or a ranged riekling or a melee one. Snorky cuts this choice straight! 

Snorky can also swim, something that riekling can't. It will make your adventures much more fluid

Snorky can also talk and you will find his though very deep, I am sure

Snorky can also drink with you - No Comment on this, do wanna spoil 

Riekling are the best pets in the game. They can equip weapon and armors given by the player (also with enchantments), some riekling are able to attack from distance (handy against dragons), other melee only. But they cannot switch between melee and range weapons. They cannot swim. They cannot ride... only Snorky can! 

Snorky Perks
Snorky comes with several interesting perks:
  • Pet Stealth 
  • Custom Fit (light armor)
  • Matching Set (light armor)
  • Unhindered (light armor)
  • Wind Walker (light armor)
  • Muffled Movement (light armor)
  • Light Foot (light armor)
  • Plus other hidden ones ;) 



Azee
You can find two spell tomes in the Snorky inventory. One is a spell to make him mount/dismount Azee, now redundant. With the new v2.1 Snorky does it automatically. The other spell tome will teach you how to summon Azee (lesser power so you can use it without magicka ro limitation).

Azee is meant to be used as a perfect pack mule. You have a safe walking mobile chest with infinite space where you can store your items. Even if dispel, you cannot lose any of the items in the Azee's inventory. 

If you want to get read of Azee, just make Snorky mount and dismount

Limitations:
  • Azee will follow you for 24h once summoned
  • Azee doesn't fight and will flee cowardly from every combat
  • cannot be summoned in the interiors
  • might not follow you everywhere
  • Azee cannot die, is marked as essential 

I am thinking to add more limitations in the future
