UPDATE: Hey everyone, i've been a bit sick and busy these last few days so i haven't progressed or done anything. Sorry about that!
UPDATE 2: Hey everyone. Sadly i've just not had the ambition to update this. I got halfway done on the "Known enchantment" icons, but since then i've just been way too much into my other projects and haven't been able to come back to this one. I'll keep this list up as a list of "nice to have" features. If anyone is willing to take over and implement any of these i'm 100% up for it and will assist in any way i can. Source is on github and link is in the description. I'll probably get back to this the next time i feel like playing skyrim, which might be in a few months.
UPDATE 3: Hey everyone. Sadly i just don't play a lot of skyrim these days, but i'm willing to work with anyone who would want to update this or make their own version. Only prerequisite is having experience with C++. I'll try to come back to update this to work on the latest version from time to time, but i won't be working on any of the features described bellow.
Hey everyone,
I work on this mod mostly on the weekends, so don't expect too much during the week. Here's the current list of features i'll be working on
Create an MCM menu - DONE
Create "known enchantment" and "non-disenchantable special enchantment" icons - DONE - This will need all re-texture mods to be updated. Sorry for this, i hope this is the last update to the .swf that i'll be making!
Show 0 weight if the item has negative weight for some reason (lockpicks) - DONE
Disable the quickloot window if the container has too many items (causes crashes) - DONE
MCM option to disable loot from animals (Hunterborn compatibility)
MCM options to disable loot from various other containers
Ability to somehow introduce new icons
Hotkey to read a book (shift+E?) - no idea how i'll do this, might have to abandon
Hotkey to loot all (shift+R?) - no idea how i'll do this either, might have to abandon
Compatibility with "Better Stealing" - I gave this a quick look at i have no ideas how i'm going to proceed with it currently - I need to re-test it as well, i'm hoping that adding an event when picking up an item actually fixed this
Hey, i can confirm this works on AE newest version, great work and thanks!
Some of the code breaks 1.5 functionality though, so i won't merge the pull request straight away. I'll be busy these next few days but i'll be able to look into it this coming week and see what i can do. I'll sticky this comment so other people can download from here.
Is someone going to update this or is this a dead mod? Fallout 4 has ruined me for bethesda games and I really need quick loot, I can't get this one or RE to work at all even with the dll fix and everything it just crashes straight to desktop with the stupid error everyone else gets but replacing the dll has done nothing for me
Replacing the DLL definitely works, I am using the one I compiled on Steam 1170 and others have said it is working on GOG 1179 link below. Others have reported the other DLLs in this thread as working at least on the Steam version. Assuming you are using MO2 just make sure you replace the DLL in <MO2 dir>\<instance name>\mods\QuickLoot EE\SKSE\Plugins
Steam v1130, v1170 and GOG v1179: https://github.com/MorpheusUK/QuickLootEE-1130/releases/tag/DLL_AE_1130_v1.0.3
The DLL replacement is for 1130 and above you are still using 640 so you shouldn't need to replace it. Just make sure you have dependencies that also support that version (I had to upgrade everything initially for 1130). I was running on 640 fine before the 1130 update came out which is what necessitated the extra DLLs. At least when i got CommonLib working it seemed that you either set it up to work with 640 and below or 1130 and above.Mine and I think from the pinned comment Waterface's DLL both require 1130+. Both our DLLs were compiled to get it working with 1130+ we just got there is slightly different ways. I added the GOG version into mine as well to make it compatible for GOG users.
Hey, I have started getting back into skyrim modding on 1.6.1170 and have tried installing Quickloot and anytime that i loaded Skyrim it would crash after the screen saying bethesda, and when i uninstall it, it's perfectly fine. So i am wondering if anyone else having this issue.
You need to replace the dll with one of the replacement dll's provided here in the posts section. Either from the sticky post above by kpvw or from a post below by MorpheusTDK.
I’ve tried using the new DLL, but it still seems to work intermittently. It works initially with when loading the game and the then it just suddenly stops working after a bit.
Quickloot is crashing when I look at a very specific bookcase in theArcanaeum. I can't figure out why and there's no option to disable QL even temporarily and I don't want to break my save by uninstalling it so I seem to just be screwed.
That shouldnt break your savegame since its not baked in to the save. I did this myself and switched to QuicklootRE which is much more stable in my opinion. You can try to disable, load the save, loot, save, enabled again, and load the new save :)
In my case it was caused by winterholdbookcase01.nif from Animated clutter. so, if you use Animated clutter, you should delete that mesh (meshes\architecture\winterhold\winterholdbookcase01.nif)
This mod will always crash when there's more than 32 items in the container, it's just the hard limit for the mod, usually happened when you look at bookcases with tons of books in there. This is the reason why I switch to quickloot RE instead, quickloot RE does not have this ctd issue on the same container
Also you can safely disable this mod mid-playthrough, it's just skse smh, the esp is for it to show up in mcm
As far as I know, Quick LootRE isn't working with the latest version of the game / SKSE (2.2.6). It yields a CTD in the start menu, some people on the RE forum explain why. The author disabled further comments back in December tho and hasn't updated the mod since..
I was having a similar issue. Playing a heavily modded save that added a lot of new areas and a lot of modders used bookcases. Became perpetually terrified of libraries for a while. Managed to fix it by downloading the version of this mod from feb 23 (version 1.2.0). Hope this helps!
It's a very cool mod, I can't do without it, but it really bugs me that it's incompatible with the Simple Activate mod, that mod doesn't allow you to correctly hide the line about the container being empty and the second point is that the color of the text flickers when you look at the safes that need to be cracked. I really hope someone fixes this.
Just to help people diagnose crashes... Can reliably confirm this mod doesn't work on Skyrim AE version 1.6.1179 GOG. Wait until a patch or a NG is done (CommonLibNG ftw)
Just tried it now, can confirm using Morpheus's .dll works. Thanks for the heads up on it Kethrayden. For anyone else seeking a fix, download the .dll here: https://github.com/MorpheusUK/QuickLootEE-1130/releases full credit to Morpheus for the hard work he put in. Download the .dll and replace the one in QuickLoot EE -> SKSE -> Plugins with it. Hopefully it works for others as well :)
