Is there a chance we might get an alternate version that simply runs from the install folder, because if you have customized your Skyrim SE installation in any way this batch file cannot find it??? I have actually tried to edit the batch file to do just that, but I am not a programmer. I cannot understand how it is detecting the install path.
Hi PasserThru- there's a better search method in the works. Have you got SSE installed on a drive not specified in the script? Is SSE is installed in a protected area like Program files? An issue can also arise if there is more than one copy of SkyrimSE.exe on a specified drive.
This doesn't work. It doesn't find my skyrim directory. I have it on my desktop but it doesn't find it and when it asks me to input the first letter of the drive it's on, it says it still can't find it.
Basically broke my Mod Manager! Everything worked, all i wanted was to remove FNIS, after unsuccessfully running this batch for some reason Mod Organizer doesnt run any applications anymore! Neither Skyrim or Loot are getting started! Mod arent loaded! Thanks! :*
Hmmm, first I heard about that, but sorry anyhow. There's no uninstall instruction on the FNIS page for MO on the FNIS so the Manual method or this script are the only options. Perhaps the best suggestion is to run this only after quitting MO, and then restarting MO again when complete. This description page updated. Issues with MO are best referred to the thread at STEP.
Doesn't work. It runs, but even given the first letter of the install path, the script fails to find the install. Can you tell us what the script is looking for? By which I mean which files, then I'll remove them manually.
I am wary of running this. I have both Skyrim and SSE installed. From what I can see, if I run this for SSE it will also remove the FNIS files for Skyrim. Is there a way to limit this to only the sub-folders of the folder from which it is run? Or at least limit it to only the drive in which it is placed (D, in my case)? You mentioned that folders with "!" in their name may cause an issue. If I rename my Skyrim Mod Organizer folder "!MO" will that prevent this from running inside of it?
Hi, I may be a bit dumb, but what exactly do you mean with - extract to a folder of your choice- any new folder, Skyrim Folder, mod folder,NMM folder ??? Please help
