    Greetings!
I no longer need it now with your mod?

Leveling Freedom - Configure your XP Curve - Gentler Smoother Steeper or Flat

Why not? Why not use da two same time? I can imagine a really cool experience. Imagine, if xp was  lowest and level curve was high. Every earned lvl, with blood and suor (and tears, maybe xD), would be more rewarding. Like beating a boss in a Souls-like game. That feeling is fucking "awesome"! Or as Arngeir likes to says "astonishing!".

P.S.: Pls, dont piss on anothers works. Da guy was a gentleman to make his project available simply out of kindness and love for the system he appreciates so much. Your comment sounded very unfortunate and misplaced. It was not cool. Let's be kinder to each other. The world would be 1000% better if people were kinder and more empathetic.

The PS on the comment above sounded really random and weird, but anyway maybe I missed something - I would still recommend using Leveling Freedom specially because you can customize the leveling curve to your personal taste - I use it to slow down the early levels and speed up later-ish game levels and it works great with basically any mod combination I believe

For sure. I am currently attempting to go through and comment in the names of all of the included creatures so that people can tweak specific creature values if they wish, but there's so many! lol

Thank you for adding a tutorial for your additions. It will help a lot when more creatures get released.

And, by all means, feel free to upload the "merged" version to your site. No need to credit me, as I just am making tweaks as I go.

how would this work with a higher xp cost per level? i set my game to take (600 *L(level) -300), so at the  beginning it takes 300 xp to level up and goes up in a way somewhat similar to 5e. assuming your's is suited to vanilla skyrim, it'd end up being a grind just to reach far faster than your base game

It would, obviously, take a lot longer to level up if you increase the cost of leveling. This is JUST the main configuration settings altered to feel a little more like the way older (2e-3e) or 5e milestone XP would be handled by a DM that values slow progression at ideal levels, without turning it into a slog until you get really high up.

what would you recommend increasing the values for higher or lower leveling?

Personally, I just go through every few days, after I have played a bit, and tweak many things.

In particular, the races get fiddled with a lot on my end because I am always tweaking creature behaviors, adding or removing creature spawns, and trying to get the XP to be some acceptable median gain that kinda works with or without the other mods, imo. Upping these by an amount of 20-30 on large creatures will give you huge XP gains for hunting large game like mammoths, giants, and bears. Conversely, reducing them by only around 20% will see your progress slow by a huge amount... so the whole system is on a kind of delicate scale.

However, you could also leave the values here alone and JUST tweak the fXPKillingMult variable in Experience.ini, and the XP values will automatically be multiplied by that number.

Furthermore, you could tweak the fLevelRange modifier. This determines the bonus XP that you gain from a creature higher level than you and the amount your XP is reduced when you over-level a creature. So, at it's default, it is 20. That means, you gain a decent boost to XP for a creature 20 levels above you, but if YOU are 20 levels higher than the creature, your XP gained from that creature is reduced to 1 XP.

I boosted reading XP as well, so having mods that add books basically makes anywhere that has an abundance of them a big XP farm. I've leveled a few times from sitting libraries and gaining experience by learning through academia. You could tome this down by changing fXPReadingMult to something closer to 5. If you want a bit more, I would turn it to no higher than 10.

Clearing areas gives a pretty nice boost as well, curtailed to the importance and/or average difficulty of clearing that type of area. In some cases, this is an easy boost of XP for relatively few creatures (even more if you have extra bandit camps ;) ). In other cases, it's a grueling battle for a measly boost (but hey, the enemies are worth XP too, so it kind of equals out).

So, this is a Work in Progress and may go through MANY iterations before I am truly happy with it.

Well, it's about there and I don't plan to take down previous versions. Would like others' feedback as well. Version 1.0 was just the first version I felt like was "just about there." I had gone through several sweeping changes (and still have a lot of those files) including some that basically power-level you if you play a certain way, focusing on specific things... That was... not so great, lol.

I'm loving the sound of this. I started this year's modlist with Experience but uninstalled it soon after and started again without it, as I was just spending far too much time trying to dial in the XP in relation to the mods I have installed. It looks like someone else has already done all that hard work. :)

Well, this is technically dialed in to the mods I have installed, but I think they will be pretty good for almost any modded playthrough. As I said, some may like it, some may not. If not, perhaps a few tweaks of these INIs by your own hand will get them more in line with your style.

TBH, I didn't expect anyone to care and just uploaded this as an online backup that I didn't see any point in not sharing. :)

I'm really intrigued by this, as someone who both enjoys d&d and is always looking for ways to make Skyrim leveling feel fresh. Thanks for putting this out there; I'm eager to give it a shot. ^-^

Nice idea I really like how this looks! Could I add it mid playthrough? Don't really see why not right?

Yeah, you can add/remove it at any time. It's just config files that load on startup.

Seems interesting, not in the position to test it myself, but I fiddled with the xp rates too as I just levelled too quickly though again still haven't even touched it as I'm regigging my new game, haha.

Though, any initial thoughts on how this may play with Level rate rebalance - slow and steady

I'd imagine it would make it take quite a bit longer to level after 15 or so. I made this with all other settings at default so I wouldn't have to mess with making a proper patch. Mostly, I uploaded here to share and, bonus, as a backup for myself.
