Hi Ericleever, I made a mod heavily inspired by Sekoia and your work. I wanted to add more factions, but it took so long (MONTHS!), that I forgot it was YOUR mod that inspired me. So I published it without asking you first. *hangs head in shame* So um... are you OK with me posting my version on "the  other site"? I put a link back here, for people who want a less "rigorous" version.
Again, sorry for not asking first.

Absolutely.  No worries.  Put a link here and I'll put it under the description if people would rather use your mod.

Thank you. I added a link to your mod and I get the impression people want to you your mod more than mine LOL. I was extremely rigorous in pruning. So, a link back to my version isn't necessary. Besides, interested parties know where to find it.

Thank you for this. Works like a charm, even with Requiem. (I was concerned it wouldn't, as Requiem heavily edits leveled lists) I was reading through the comments, and I was not disappointed. Got the usual woke people being offended. Let me explain this to some of you people:

    1) Bandits (and all non-magic fighters) would be overwhelmingly men, just like in real life "But there are dragons" doesn't change that. 15 year old boys destroyed the champion women's soccer team. Trans men kick the crap out of biological women in fights. Men and women are DIFFERENT, it doesn't mean one is better than the other, but men excel over women at physical tasks. Accept that it's dumb for 50% of bandits to be female. The fact that it offends some of you to want to somewhat mirror real life is hilarious. A FEW women warriors existed, yes. 1 for every 500 male warriors. So, as the description says, this mod does just that. Also, violent criminals are overwhelmingly male. Take that as a compliment to women.
    2) Some of us don't want to slaughter legions of women and slice half their heads off (gore mod) Conan wasn't killing women.... at least 99 men for every woman he had to kill.
    3) Bandits aren't nice people, by default. How do you think they are going to treat women?
    4) We get plenty of eye candy from our female followers and npcs in town. Get the "Misty Sky" mod, pretty funny and has plenty of bouncing.
    5) I'm fine with female mages, those exist in the game.
    6) By default, 90% of games are your way (aka female fighters in WW1, lol) Doesn't hurt you to let us have our mod.
    7) Modder explained why he personally did it, which doesn't mirror my reasons and people still get upset. LOL.

Now, if only they could make a mod like this for the Fallout games earlier than 4. I started playing New Vegas last month and something I found jarring is just how many female NCR soldiers and raiders there are. Like 50% or more. You don't see that in real life, so I thought, why shouldn't that be reflected in games too? I recreated a mod like this for New Vegas for personal use, but with mixed results lol. Its funny, because, even unmodded, all of these NCR ladies are somehow *nowhere to be seen in the final main quest battle* Hmm... Thankfully, I expanded on this mod for Skyrim by removing scripted entries and objects that refer to them and it works like a charm :) This, in addition to the Gyno mod makes the game more realistic XD

Great mod ericleever! Just what I was looking for. Would it be possible to expand this to reduce the number of Forsworn/Vampire/Necromancer females as well? Maybe as a optional download? Endorsed and thanks again!

I would do it myself, but can't, because I have the GOG version of the game, and there is no working Creation Kit for it.:(

I don't use it, but from the looks of it, it shouldn't matter.  Looks like different records are affected.

What's the general rule, early load before npc appearance mods or doesn't matter?

It doesn't matter.  It doesn't remove the npc from the game, just the leveled list.  The npc will be modified by your appearance mod, but they won't be put into the game.

Just remember if your using bash patch to take out the bandit records from the patch or else the patch will set the leveled lists back to the vanilla records.

or add the relevant bash tags to this mod, before running Wrye Bash. but always check the bash patch and manually correct records if needed.
At the very least you can/ should add Delev and Relev to the plugin.

It removes all the female bandits from the leveled lists, but there are still a few that have scenes with female bandits which were scripted by Bethesda.  For example, in Bleak Falls Barrow, the first chamber has a male and female bandit arguing.  If I had made the female bandit male, he would have still had a female voice.. so I left them alone.  If you don't understand leveled lists, they are basically the "random encounter tables".  So, no randomly generated bandits will be female, but specifically placed female bandits are still there.

I'm using this mod, but I expanded on it by deleting the scripted and named ones too and its amusing seeing these guys either talk to themselves (which, by default, they do), or just stand there (which, they also by default do) and there's a visible gap where the female bandit talking should be XD

      Not really a good analogy.
Great fantasy settings ( Dune, LOTR, etc) share characteristics of logical worldbuilding and authenticity, even with presence of magic.
And second, some people use mods like this to give a more gritty, dark atmosphere to the game.

Exactly, mods that do this in the name of realism are so transparent. Tamriel isn't a real world. Female bandits are as common as the designers of this world say that they are.

      Indeed.
And, all too often, the precise people who claim it's "not realistic" to portray women as warriors are the very same who give them ridiculous, gravity-defying proportions, so grotesquely UNREALISTIC that any woman who looked like that in real life would be in a wheelchair, because she'd be unable to stand, not to mention probably dead from hypothermia due to wearing almost nothing in sub-zero weather.

Just have to note that female warriors are not an historical inaccuracy. Much less so than dragons anyway. Most cultures around the world have had female warriors and even military leaders although they are rare compared to males. Warrior Queens by the historian A Fraser and  Woman Warriors, An Unexpected History by Pamela Toler give several examples of such women
    11. "Yes"... there is magic and dragons - but laws of physics work the same in Tamriel as they work in a real world...

People talking about realism, this is more realistic. With an equal number of male and female bandits, there would be a bunch of kids running around in every one of their forts, but there aren't. Though I'm pretty sure there's a mod that adds bandit kids...

      There is you're right

      A mod called
The kids are alright has a file known as "wild child"
That adds bandit kids that can be adopted and found throughout the world
