If you like the mod, or have played the mod, then please feel free to leave feedback. Please feel free to suggest new features, or improvements, or tell me of any technical issues,

This is not social media. Don't think you can post whatever you want. Anything that is unrelated to Skyrim or the mod will be deleted. If you post hate speech or insults, it will be deleted and you will be reported. So think about whether your post belongs here or not, before you post it.

Thank you to those who take the time to leave valuable feedback. It greatly helps me to improve the mod as I update it.

It's a neat alternative mod, but the consistent use of "dead animal" instead of "meat", "fur", or "animal product" makes it very clearly move to "spot the militant vegan".

Still though, a lot of work went into this and it shows. Not for me, but it's nice to see.

Thank you for this mod. I recently played the Witcher 3 and found my character only eating and drinking plant based items since I'm vegan and I did not want my character eating meat. I wanted to do the same in Skyrim and found this mod.

I also think this mod is perfect for a character I want to pay that is basically a healer who does not want to harm humans or animals (and will refuse to use enchanted gear, only blessed gear like the amulet of Mara, since that uses the souls of animals .. also no conjuration including bound weapons since that is basically forcing other beings into ) and will avoid violence with the living as much as possible (think invisibility, calm, sneak, paralyze, and any other form of running away ... undead creatures are a different matter as their souls need to be put to rest). I may have this character grow by fighting sentient beings like dragons and vampires where the character must reckon with that moral conflict (I like the idea of a character growing, like I'm thinking of doing a orc paladin that will e part of the Imperial army that is a stickler for the law and looks down on others only to realize that blind faith to the law does not make them a defender of the people ... and a young Nord woman who does not like Ulfic or the very overt racism of the storm cloaks but still joins them to free the nords from the Empire's imperialism, however she will learn along the way the horrible treatment of the snow elves and the dark elves and argonians in Windhelm and the treatment of the Kajit and realize Skyrim also belongs to the reachmen, the asylum seekers, and all others who just want to live in peace, strengthening her resolve to drive the Empire and the Thalmor out of Skyrim while also deeping her distrust of Ulfric).

Anyway, this seems like the perfect mod to make Skyrim feel that much more enjoyable and cozy for me and absolute must for my planned healer. So thank you for this!

Hmm, I like the idea of this mod, but instead of an outright replacer of all the food options, I think having a version at adds new plant-based options to the game while keeping the meat options would be even better. That way, the people who want to be omnivores can still be omnivores, but those who want more options for a vegetarian/vegan diet will find it easier to manage.

The main thing keeping me from getting this mod, aside from me being an omnivore, is the compatibility hell this mod would introduce to me. I'm using WACCF, Apothecary, Gourmet, Simple Hunting Overhaul, and Starfrost (an Overhaul of Survival Mode).

As someone who enjoys heavy immersion in Skyrim, I really like the idea of this mod: having a kinder Skyrim can lead to a different experience. However, the main thing that keeps me from installing it is twofold:

    1. According to the more recent posts, this mod conflicts with Survival Mode. One of the most reliable ways to get food in Skyrim (EXCLUDING the Vegetable Soup item and Homecooked Meals by your spouse) is hunting animals for meat. Posts from May say the new items do not restore Hunger when in Survival Mode. Survival Mode is great for immersion, and removing hunting from it would make it more vegan-friendly. RPing as a survivalist who can't kill animals would be a very interesting experience.

    2. I know it isn't the point of the mod, but: I think replacing ALL animals with vegetables for ALL people, while great for what this mod's original goal was, is bad for immersion. I feel there's bound to be at least a few people resorting to hunting, and a few animal-skin rugs still around. An optional patch that restores some of the meat to certain corners of Skyrim would be interesting. Perhaps smaller villages outside of mainstream cities could have a few buildings with animal skins and meat around, even if the meat ITEMS are never made available to the player. This would be excellent for immersion.

Again, I know immersion wasn't what you were going for here, and what I'm requesting may be better for a third-party patch by someone else with your permission. Still, I thought I would bring it up in case it was something you may take interest in. Thank you for the very interesting mod!

I cant tell from the screenshots, do the cooked items restore hunger? I only every play on survival mode. The other vegan mod, superfoods does not restore hunger and seems abandoned, so I'm holding out hope for this one. Currently living off of potato soup.

I installed the mod to give it a go, not only do none of the new items restore hunger, the restoration has been removed from all the existing food items too. Removing mod until updated :(

Hey, thank you for this mod. I'm vegan (IRL), and I always wanted to roleplay as such like the vegetarian trait in the sims games. I wanted to make a personal mod like this, but it's nice to see someone else was interested in such (assuming this isn't some sort of twisted joke!) I might just make a mod that only adds vegetable alternatives or more pacifist/monk style alternatives and not go so extreme on certain ideas, if you're open to suggestions as options.

For a more realistic experience,I think with only a few changes to vanilla there should be a penalty if you eat meat as an optional file, like the poisonous potions mod. It would be really funny, but also realistic to my lived experience (as someone who can't ingest meat without getting sick.) A lot of lore wasn't made for this type of lifestyle in mind lol, but still, there's definitely going to be some sort of mer or man out there who doesn't eat meat or can't eat it due to allergies or phobias (like me.)

In my opinion, the edits that make certain animals essential are a little too much. It takes away from immersion. Same for the sovngarde giant cabbage and such, isn't it better to just leave the fire and remove the food al together?

Aside from these things, I like the change this mod brings to the gameworld, it's great!

By the way, a suggestion. I'd love an alternative to the bug-jars. They are collectibles, but I don't like having an insect trapped in a jar for all eternity.

definitely shouldn't have the "lore friendly" tag but otherwise great job.
The Sovngarde picture made me laugh 😁😂👍❤️
