Excuse me? None of the mods which are requirements for this one are stupid, broken or "BS". Sounds like some entitled child doesn't deserve a fix. Better attitude next time please or you'll be banned.
With all due respect, I've ran through the whole workings of this mod and to no extent does it seem to even be remotely working in par with the required mod for this to even work. Of course like every other person I would ask for some help, but you just say the installation was done incorrectly.
EDIT: I found a fix that worked and it's a potential fix for other people if other solutions don't work. When you go to get the Papyrus Extender SE, just make sure you get the one posted December 1st, 2021. You should notice the sticky message and I have no clue why, but it actually solved the issue of it not working. (it's not guaranteed this will work and you may need a different solution, but if you've tried everything but this, then this is your best shot)

I only provide support for this mod, it's up to you to install the pre-reqs correctly. A guide I write today could be out of date tomorrow and besides, all of the VR mods you need have instructions on their own mod pages, you will need to read them or ask for help on those pages should you encounter issues with any particular mod.
hey! I'm more than confused with what i did wrong! I got papyrus extender 5.6.1 + VR 5.6.1.2 with VR address library 0.113.0 and both touring carriage 3.5.2 and the 1.0.3 fix. and nothing works at all! i even did a full reinstall of all my mods just to make sure everything is done right! STILL FLOATING! and if i disable the mod it completely breaks the game save... so now i have to keep a mod that don't seem to wanna work in my load order or it kills my game... and it was working in the past that's what kills me! what am i doing wrong? do i need an other mod? PLEASE HELP! i really want this to work!
Hey, if it's possible in a similar way to this and you would be willing, would you consider making a mod like this tailored to fixing the cart ride in the vanilla intro while using VRIK/HIGGS (if HIGGS is still a problem grabbing that)? That way one wouldn't need to disable that/those mod(s) through their mod manager when starting a new character?
I'm not sure enough people play through the intro scene to really warrant it. I mean it's certainly possible to do I guess, maybe I'll have a look when I get some time but no promises.
Thanks for your considering it! In the meantime if/when I go ahead and start a vanilla+ playthrough with the intro scene, I suppose I'll just turn off VRIK, HIGGS, and PLANK until after character creation or something like that and then manually enable it.
Hi. I always play through the intro. To me, the start always sets the mode. I just like to see things start right. However Vrik (or is it Higgs?) is so good I tolerate the high in the air start. To see this fixed would be superlative.
Kinda makes sense to have that fix in for a mod that fixes cart rides too. But whatever. Keep up the goodwork, m8!
I installed VR address library, Papyrus extender 5.5.0 and Papyrus extender VR 5.5.0. In my load order extender VR is AFTER papyrus extender. I also updated the Tweaks SE. I reinstalled to be sure. And I still spawn on top of the carriage, when i look back my body is all messed up. I don't have VRIK actions or SL stuff installed.
I do not get any dialogue window telling me to sit down, it immideatly switches to the carriage ride.
I'm sure I'm not the only one with this issue, what can we do to get it to work?
Sounds like you don't have Papyrus Extender VR installed correctly. You will want to confirm a successful working installation of that before anything else.
Hi Cylon: I got all pre-requisites correctly: papyrus-extender VR + original papyrus + VR address, and I don't have VRIK actions installed. Still when I asked for a carriage ride, the game started a non-stopping crazy spin...it seems the fix is not effective.. I wonder if there's any hint for what could be wrong. Thank you. Edit: I have SL framework + VR installed that caused this problem as mentioned in another comment below.
If the mod doesn't work for you then it is most likely due to one or more of the pre-reqs not being installed correctly \ not functioning in your load order. What you report is a bit odd as the original mod didn't have a spin on entry problem, only a spin on exit issue. After the entry spinning you see are you then seated correctly in the carriage or positioned High above it? If you are still high above it then I would guess you are seeing an issue with your papyrus extender VR install.
You are the second person to post about SL Framework + VR, perhaps this is the root of your problem? I have nothing against SL mods but I'm not going to be installing them to test compatibility, you guys \ gals would be on your own with that one. Of course if you find a fix to your issue I'd be more than happy to post the details so please do report back.

Cylonsurfer (Cool name) It is indeed SL VR fix that causes that issue, so I've disabled that and now I get on the carriage ...WAY above it. I read your suggestion regrading load order, I'm very new to Skyrim VR modding here is my load order for Papyrus (it's after SL) I'd be grateful if you could tell me if you see any issues. The research: This was a misdiagnosed issue for a while. I first found that activating Skyrim Utility Mod's MCM>system>PC ai Control>Release all ai stopped the spin. Thank Talos. Turns out there where a slew of commands that where activated. I then went on a journey to (re-)discover the issue lies in the SetVehicle() command. Having narrowed the issue down I created a series of patches for the mods I use. Now I share my boon with the world and am working on patches for other mods that break VR. Others have joined the questing party and are far from the devious followers I seem to attract in Skyrim!"
Same problem here with Sexlab. It's a pity. Two options: 1 I Uninstall this mod and disable manually inside the game VRIK to enter in the carriage but I will see my character in the top although the movement of the carruage is fixed. 2.I use this mod and I don't need to do anything but the spining camera and the movement of the carruage are bad.
This mod works great, maybe a little too good. You need some serious VR legs to handle it. I never get sick anymore and I actually got a little sick riding this cart. But otherwise it works exactly as intended. Very immersive and well done sir/ma'am. But a pleasant surprise is that if you are wearing a haptic vest, your lower back vibrates as if you are leaning back on the cart seat. Which was really cool and I cannot believe that was implemented.
wanted to add something else for people struggling with floating above the cart because of papryus issues. follow CylonSurfer on the 1st december, 2021 and vr address library. additionally, be sure to install Skyrim Script Extender for VR (SKSEVR) from the papyrus extender page. it might be different then the sksevr version you have. doing that and creating a new save worked out for me. no more floating above the cart with a folded up body.
