Open to suggestions. I and Hexxagone(mod requester) want to make the bows visually unique as compared to the regular bows. I can do very simple re-textures, but the bows are all so different it's difficult to come up with a unifying edit to each.
I think I will also have each of the upgrades require at least one of the materials each bow requires to make via standard smithing, ie an Ebony Ingot for the ebony bow.
Is there a way to add the summon arrow effect to another bow but without it needing to consume Magicka? I was thinking of making Auriels bow fire summoned arrows with the sunhallowed arrow mesh, like it was firing arrows of sunlight.
Would it be possible to make the effect of the bow into a spell or power?
Such you cast the spell (or use a power) and it allows you to fire the arrows at the cost of mana with any bow for a limited amount of time. And possibly adding other spells (or powers) for fire, ice, or shock arrows.

Well I'm better at scripting than enchanting stuff, so I figured the direct approach was better than trying to work out how to add a consistent enchantment. Plus, this way you can always put on whatever enchantment you want
So long as you're using regular arrows, it's a regular bow, just fires faster than usual. If you use the summoned arrows and run out of magicka, it will be unequipped.
But in general, yes, it will be less effective for fighters since they won't prioritize increasing Alteration and therefore getting better versions of the bow.

It says if you run out of Magicka then it unequips. So Rouges and Warriors shouldn't use this bow?
