Smurf's Population of Skyrim is an NPC overhaul that is intended to enhance the already great atmosphere of Skyrim. For this purpose, almost 1500 NPCs were reworked, be it in appearance or behavior, 142 NPCs were newly added and additionally populate the various locations. They follow their own daily routines and thus provide for "more life" among other things on markets, streets or inns. Among them are companions, merchants, marriage seekers or bards. Drunkards or warriors, nice and moody, pretty and ugly, fat and thin and more, you can meet in the Population of Skyrim.
But the VvH goes much further, it intervenes strongly visually, so the mod also adds new age classes, dozens of different bodymeshes, partly self-created via bodyslide from CBBE to UNP versions and the corresponding clothing or armor adapted to the body. About thirty different body textures and even more facial textures, dozens of new color variations of clothing and armor, new hairstyles, tattoos, war paint, hair and eye colors, freckles, marks, scars, earrings, piercings and, and, and. Many NPCs new and also vanilla got a new look via the Racemenu mod.
Were there so far in Himmelsrand no young people or even (at least visually) between 20 and 60 year old people nothing, this is over with the VvH. Also, NPCs now all have the appropriate body according to their age. There are no more 60 year old people with bodies of 20 year olds.
Hundreds of new AI packages and position markers add more variety to Himmelsrand streets and squares.

- Some vanilla AI packages of NPCs changed for more variety in behavior
- Taverns fill up from 8pm, adjusted to cities and towns.
- Small towns and even lonely taverns now have protectors.
- Increased the chance that NPCs have conversations with each other by 50 times.
- The radius in which one is addressed by NPCs drastically reduced. You almost have to bump into them before they say anything.
- Vanilla and new pets no longer trigger traps.
- Almost 30 new companions of all races, with perks adapted to their abilities.
