As I say on the mod page, this isn't my mod, it was created by Bluntaxe. I converted it to SSE for my own personal use several years ago, and it's worked for me for the most part. More recently, I've been using it in VR. So I have tested it to a certain extent - but it's obviously not been widely tested.
The biggest problems I ever had was books falling off the shelves or books that have been changed by the unofficial skyrim special edition patch (for example, that patch updates the Wolf Queen series to all have the same thick green model) - which is why I've applied those fixes. I've also found the 'clean library' option does not work ideally and have no possible way of knowing how I can go about fixing that.
I want to emphasize that not only did I not create this mod, I don't even really know entirely how it works. So there's only so much I can do to troubleshoot. Still, if you do run into any problems, let me know and I'll see if I can recreate them and find a solution for them.
Edit: From reports, this mod is not compatible with mods that edit books, change book covers, etc, as many of the books have been placed upside down. I'm afraid I will not be spending hours turning the books over for the sake of mods that I don't personally use - I'll reopen the subject if I ever gain the skills to actually create my own version of this mod from scratch. The bookcases don't include books that were added by other mods. I believe the original modder also never got around to adding books from Dragonborn. And, of course, notes, journals, home decorating guides, and books like that don't seem to be included.
No, I don't know which other mods that edit houses that this particular mod may or may not conflict with. It doesn't conflict with any of the mods I use, but I prefer my own mods to be fairly lightweight. I imagine anything that completely overhauls a house is going to conflict. Best way to find that out is to test it yourself.
If anyone really would love to see a mod that does include all the books, or is compatible with mods that edit book covers, or is compatible with x or y, I invite, encourage, and would love for them to create one. If I had the ability, I would do it myself - but I do not. I would be happy to assist with such a project though.
I seem to be having some issues with the honeyside library, in riften. when I open the doors after purchasing there's just empty void until I step inside. Once inside the library looks fine, but the ceiling doesn't load as well as parts of the wall around the doors. If I stand in the enchanting room and look into the library I can see the bookshelves, but the closer I get to it everything blacks out. Staring into honeyside from the library, also void.
All tested on a fresh save, albeit heavily modded, but mostly retextures. The only changes to honeyside are the outside planters mod you made, and the exterior FYX - 3d Honeyside deck floor mod.
this seems like an extremely relevant question and am surprised it is not answered in description. Not even the original mod description page has a compatibility section nor pictures to show where a door is placed, (the video doesn't show it either wth). But upon further research, I did read that it does not hold all the books of Skyrim, about a 1/4. And the other locations have the books upside down and marked stolen if you take them. Pass.
I use Breezehome TNF Expanded. This mod tries to put the library in the basement, and it messed it up. Oddly, I disabled my breezehome mod, then the library was nowhere to be found.
Although, I will add, that since I am putting this into a game in progress, the steward Avenicci isn't giving me the option to add it.
Also, It will interfere with Crossroads Cellar, since both mods put the access door in the same place.
"The Library can be added to each of the Vanilla player homes by purchasing it from the applicable town's steward (Whiterun, Windhelm, Solitude, Markarth, Riften), and is automatically added to the Dragonborn home upon acquisition of the house itself (Solstheim)."
Nice concept. The placement of some of the books is problematic, though, with them floating significantly above the shelf, clipping through the back of the shelf, and upside-down.
Each individual book seems to have an individual placement, so it's not really a shelf that's the issue. I could redeploy the mod and take note of the specifics if you're up for making more adjustments. Sounds like one easy one, though, is the book positions being set to a Y value of 90 instead of -90 (as others have noted, the vanilla books are vertically symmetric, so it's not noticeable till you have a mod that replaces the covers).
*Stores the books upside down for me in both Breezehome and Honeyside btw, but its so great to see this ported over I aint even mad. I'm using the popular Book Covers Skyrim mod, which I don't think you are in the pics, so I'm guessing its that.
I thought of an alteration to this mod if it interests you... What if it's this but you had a sort-of checklist to collect all of the books yourself to place in the shelves? Just a thought :D
Hey, if I could build something like this, I have a few ideas myself. As it is there's not much I can do - As I say on the page, I didn't make the mod, I just ported it to SE.
Thank you, I'd not come across this one either! Installed and purchased for Breezehome; it works exactly as advertised. As I'm too lazy to manually transfer all my books to shelves this late in the game, this has been a godsend! Thanks!

I also meant to ask about the inclusion of LOTD Library contents *brought home* by the player.

Thanks for the port, can this be converted to espfe?

Update: Tried it with Alternate Start, owning your own home, and it worked flawlessly. Purchased the Library and looks amazing :)
