Colored Candlelight and Magelight Spells
Yesterday I was playing Skyrim and something extremely specific annoyed me. I wanted the room I was in to be purple. It wasn't. Thus, Incandescence was born.
Candlelight, in my opinion, is one of the most essential spells in the game. I cast it more than I cast any other spell. But I also hate the way that it is handled in vanilla Skyrim. It is inconsistent, causes awful glares, has a weird color, can't be turned off, and covers an extremely limited space. This mod adds new Candlelight and Magelight spells that fix all of those things.
NEW SPELLS:
Colored Candlelight Spells - Incandescence adds Candlelight spells in dozens of new colors. This allows you to cast any ambiance you want. A blood witch can cast a dark red glow, or a sea witch can project the hues of the ocean. Or you can make everything around you green, just for the hell of it.

Colored Magelight Spells - The new Magelight spells work under a completely different mechanic than the original spell. Like the Candlelight spells, the they come in a wide variety of colors. They also cover a significantly wider radius and they are treated as persistant objects, allowing you to have as many as you want at one time. To avoid some bizarre lighting glitches, the new spells place a small fire indicator at the target instead of the original lighting mesh.

Massive Spells - Some of the new light spells intentionally have a massively extended area of effect. These Expert-level spells cost more to cast, but can be used to color entire caverns, creating visually stunning battles and announcing your presence with epic flare.
Candlelight - Purple Hue
Candlelight - Ocean Vibes
Magelight - Bathed in Blood

Better Light Spells - Some of the spells retain the vanilla Light spell color, but are improvements upon the original spell. These alter the brightness, duration, or radius of the spell while maintaining the vanilla ambiance.
Starlights - Like Magelights, but much brighter glow
Glow - A brighter version of Candlelight
Radiance - A much brighter version of Candlelight
Shimmer - A version of Candlelight that lasts a longer time
Incandescence - A version of Candlelight that lasts much longer
Dim - I always hated that you had to wait for the Candlelight spell to just time out in vanilla Skyrim. It's annoying. So all of the spells added by this mod can be turned off with a new Dim spell. This spell does not affect the original Candlelight spell, just the ones added by this mod.
Extended Radius and Reduced Brightness
The light effect in vanilla is fairly abrasive. It has a very limited range and causes horrendous glares on the player in both first person and third person. These spells address that by reducing the brightness (which ironically lets you see significantly better) and extending the area of effect. The radius for most Candlelight spells has been doubled or tripled and the brightness for most spells has been reduced by 30%-60%, depending on the color.
Compatibility
There will be no major conflicts with this mod. It will likely interact weirdly with mods that change or alter the game's lights and lighting, but there will be nothing that causes your game to crash.
This mod does alter a few leveled lists. For compatibility with other mods that alter leveled lists, a Bashed Patch is recommended.
FAQ's
Will this work with my ENB?
Bro idk. It works with vanilla. I don't know if it works with Antonio's Busty Red High Heel Inverted Parallel Leaf Highlights Donkey Rainbow Hues Summer Edition ENB. Just try it.
Where can I get the Light Spells?
You can buy all of them from the Court Wizard in Whiterun. There is also a cheat barrel in Embershard Mine that has all of the spells. The barrel is in the ESP version but not the ESL version. Finally, the tomes can be found as loot from most bandits and magic-based enemies.
Where can I get the armor in the screenshots?
Colorful Magic by 184GESU SE. It's one of the most incredible mods on the Nexus. I use it with Anniversary Edition and I have no issues. The armor is looted from the witch under the College of Winterhold.
I hope you enjoy it!
