Really great mod and idea, makes regen potions VERY useful. The great thing about this is that you don't need to use a regen mod to adjust health regen to 0 and then make regen potions useless that way.
However, I was only able to get it to work (on an existing save file) by using these console commands:
      player.removespell 1031D3
      player.addspell 1031D3

Anyone who still has health regen with the mod on should try that. (I'm also on 1.5.97 full downgraded)

Not sure if it’s a problem with Apothecary but none of the fortify health regen effects seems to work for me. They fill up a slot in the active effects but that’s it.

Turns out I forgot to add this to the description.
The steps are pretty much the same as uninstalling or updating the mod. The effect that governs the no-regen effect is attached to a spell that is on the player from game start, to refresh the effects of the spell after (un)installing the mod is has to be removed and added again.
It's a bit clunky this way for sure as my main goal was to keep the mod lightweight.

In regards to Apothecary it's possible that it modifies HealRate, which is something that isn't used much in the vanilla game (the few
exceptions like the werewolf ring are taken care of by my mod). Since that value is then multiplied with HealRateMult (which my mod sets to
zero), you will end up with potions that have no effect.

Not working for me. But I'm pretty sure its not the mods fault. I'm gonna go and try to find out which one of my million active mods is the culprit.

I so want this mod to work, and it does.  Mostly.
I installed this mod mid-game, and used the:
      player.removespell 1031D3
      player.addspell 1031D3

To get it going, and sure enough, my heath regen is off.
However, an odd thing is happening now.  My health meter will occasionally pop up for no reason and will not fade out.  I'm using IHud, so it should be fading out after only a few seconds if it's not changing.  But it's not, it pops up for reasons indeterminable and refuses to go away.
Any thoughts on how I might correct this issue?  I don't want to give up this mod, but I really really like the immersive quality of IHud, and am certainly not giving that up.

EDIT/UPDATE:  I think I got this figured out.  So, it turns out that Frostfall gives a negative HealthRegen penalty when cold.  When my standard regen is zero, that modifier puts me at a negative regen rate.  So if I'm cold, I'm slowly dying!  Because the health is constantly changing, the health meter won't fade.

Hello ! I really like this simple but cool and immersive mod, helps me taking good care of my health !
One question however : I happen to be playing as a Breton using Mannaz from Enaisiaion, and I got one of the cultural artifact that allows some passive helath regen, but I remarked that it does not work. Any workaround ? Thanks !

New to modding and console commands here, so this is a serious question:
What is the difference between this mod and the player.forceav healratemult 0.0
Do they do the same thing?  Are they different?  Pros/Cons?
Thanks in advance for aiding my enlightenment!

It's been a while that I played and used the mod myself. I can't quite remember why I didn't use forceav myself, there was some issue which prompted me to make the mod. Iirc it's impossible to check/debug the permanent modifier that forceav applies, or remove it in a clean manner. So instead instead of slapping a modifier on top of another I made the mod to fix the issue at its root.

An additional benefit of it was that it allowed me to take care of edge cases, Histskin and the Ring of the Hunt would have no effect on a character that had their HealRateMult modified with forceav. The mod effectively disables itself when their effects are active to not ruin the idea behind them.

    Hello

Would using lady stone give me health regen with this mod?

I like to use other survival mods (frostfall campfire etc) than cc survival mode but some of its festures have to be suplemented. Still struggling with passive hralth regen and shrines for 100 gold

I can't confirm in game or xEdit right now, but it seems like the Lady Stone uses basically the same mechanic as regeneration potions (HealRateMult) and thus it should work.

Fantastic, works just as intended. I combined with Useful Food so I have to eat to have a bit of health regen. This is definitely the "no health regen" I've been looking for. Thanks for making it!

For people unable to get this to work - I think it might need a new game? I tried installing this mod while I was still in Helgen and it didn't work. I coc'd to Riverwood from the main menu and it worked. Maybe existing characters need to use console commands to add the spell to themselves?

Either way, I got it working. Thanks for the mod. =)

I could swear I had already mentioned this in the description but turns out I didn't.
The console commands necessary are the same as removing/refreshing the mod. It's probably not a very elegant solution in terms of user friendliness, but allows the mod to be lightweight and simple.
