Would it be possible to implement a spell to eat whatever you have in your inventory for use with spellbar mods? Meaning, adding a power that when used eats whatever you have in your inventory. (+ adding a seperate power that drinks from your waterskin)

Nice, i have an idea for possible feature creep for this mod. An option to only auto eat when the player is sitting down. Essentially this would allow you to save meals with auto eat until you have a moment to take a seat and I think it would be a nice medium between having some agency and not having to go into your menu for something as menial as eating

I also would like an option for this to only work while sitting

This and an option to disable auto eating while in combat would make the mod perfect for me

Is there a way to change what level eating/drinking triggers at? So that I can drink as soon as I feel thirsty at all rather than waiting for it to get low?

      That's already how this works

Weird then, for me it only triggers when one of my needs drops into the yellow category, but unless I’m mistaken sunhelm applies some small damage as soon as you hit white (sorry I don’t know what the actual phases are called)

I’ll do some more checking on my end, thank you for the quick response! Really a great mod either way.

You can allow overeating in mcm. Check screenshots for what options are there

Oh I see, I thought that option meant I would just keep eating and drinking as long as there was stuff in my inventory regardless of the needs at all. Tysm!!

Some of my food isn't being detected by this system, but is detected by SunHelm when eating manually.
Sometimes the opposite, Raw food is eaten when there is cooked food in my inventory.
Is there anything I could look at to diagnose this? I looked at keywords and formlists first.
    Thanks!

Does this mod only work with the Sunhelm survival, or can I use it with Skyrims built in survival, and everything will work perfectly? This is the type of mod i'm looking for, but I only want to use the default/built-in Skyrim stuff.

Please make a compatibility patch for Enderal SE. This mod would be apt and useful for Enderal, as there's no automatic regeneration of health in that game, and eating food is only way to heal.

Can you add a delay for this mod? I use autosave after sleeping so this mod may cause some errors.

Unchecking the auto eat/drink checkbox seems to be working.

But, unfortunately for me the Toggle key for auto eat/drink still activates even after I rebind it to another key, or disable it. I get the notification every time I press ESC.

so I have to pass on this for now.

update: I'm still getting the "unable to find food" message whenever I hit ESC key. That's fun :)

update 2: on a new profile and new start, without this mod, "Searching for food" still pops up whenever I click ESC key. This is... not good.

Just tried this in game, and this option works fine.
      Screenshot: options disabled in MCM
Screenshot: hunger and thirst effects affecting player

Rebinding the keys also work perfectly fine. Just tested this
      Screenshot: MCM with keys rebound
Screenshot: Pressing G activates auto drink
Screenshot: Pressing H activates auto eat

Neither "searching for food" nor "unable to find food" are notifications this mod or sunhelm produces.

"Esc" is simply what MCM helper displays for keys not yet bound to anything. I just confirmed pressing Esc simply brings up the tween menu and does nothing else.

update 2: on a new profile and new start, without this mod
This mod does nothing if it is uninstalled

Whatever you got happening in your game causing s*** to break, this mod isn't it.

Is it possible to blacklist certain items from being eaten? For example I ate a sack flour even though I had lots of regular food in my inventory, which doesn't really make sense. Also for radiant quests that require you to gather food.

I would love a whitelist--generally there's only a handful of food items I want to consume without manual intervention, for example, if I'm carrying apples, cooked beef, and potato leek stew, I would only ever want the beef eaten automatically as the apples would be a wasted ingredient and the stew is too valuable/time consuming to create to use unless I know I'll need its buffs.

Alternatively, I wonder if better automatic results might come from ranking first by cooked over raw, then by value or perhaps value-weight with lowest value picked first.

Yet another idea might be adding KYWD support and let us in the peanut gallery clean up our own mess. :)

Update: unfortunately it looks like the current logic will prioritise a valuable (high buff) stew over plain water even with only the auto-drink feature enabled. So, definitely would be great to have some form of whitelisting per-consumption, be it an actual whitelist or just recognition of KYWDs or whatever.
