THINGS TO KNOW * These colors replace the default hair colors for males and females, for all races. * The exact color in your game will depend on your lighting mods, ENB, time of day, among other factors. * The screenshots were taken using ENB Silent Horizons and interior lighting mod Lux. * The hairstyles used in the pictures are from KS Hairdos. * The outfit is the Lady Duchess Henrietta Ridding Armor from Apachii Divine Elegance Store. * NPCs created in game will use these hair colors. * Wig mods that adjust to the color of the NPC will use these hair colors. * Most NPC replacer mods will not use these new hair colors because it will be set in their mod. * As with the vanilla colors, some of the new colors will not look the same on every hairstyle or wig.
UPDATE Added ESL flagged version for those that want to save a load order spot.
Very nice mod. Wish I came across it sooner. I ran into a small issue however. I made some custom followers in my game before this mod and they all still have the old colors on their heads, I didn't use a custom color or anything, just vanilla blonde, ashen (1st and 10th) etc colors. But when I check the same premade vanilla colors on racemenu, they are all changed, meaning your mod is working fine. So are the old colors now "baked" into my NPCs? Do I need to change them again from the CK or any ideas?
There are two ways this could happen. One, the hair color could be coded into the mesh but it doesn't sound like that's going on here. Second, it could be something else is overwriting this mod. Make sure this mod load after any other mod that changes hair color.
Hiii love your mod! I had one question, when I place a wig on one of my followers it turns the hair color to red each and every time do you think it may be something with this mod or the wig mod?
It's because of the wig but it's not really the wig's fault. I've created several wig mods on Nexus and there's something about the game that some NPCs receive a different hair color when a wig is equipped. It has nothing to do with their original hair color and I've never found a reason why. I chalk it up to something weird going on with the game engine.
Thanks for sharing the mod! Endorsed! Over the years there were many similar mods, but this one is the only I know that manages to have consistent colors between mod hair (like KS Hair) and vanilla hairs. Once again thanks!
Many mod require a plugin file to add or change game content. Skyrim can only load up to 254 plugins. However, the game counts .esl files differently and can load up to something like 4,000 of them. Not all mods can be turned into .esl files but simple ones like this can. .esl files can be very helpful to users with large load orders but would make no difference to those not near the 254 plugin limit.
I think many many people would adopt this if it was a Synthesis patcher. Us VR players really feel the pinch when loading ESPs when we are near the limit. Worst case this can be merged although Synthesis is the ideal format for this type of mod :)

But I have a question as a relatively inexperienced modder: You have two files available - what are the advantages of each?
I saw the earlier post about adding an ESL version, but have no idea which file is more beneficial (sorry).
Downloading now. : )
Cheers,
