Lost direction control after casting - maybe not really compatible with True Directional Movement - but after toggling off all was normal again. But I like the idea of adding waterwalk. You can do it, if you are one of those "Jesus Christ Lizards". Basiliscus Spezies were the first filmed doing this (have seen some juvenile B. vittatus crossing a creek of about 10 times their own length myself in Costa Rica), but some Agamas seem to be able to do the same. All completly without use of spell or magicka, just pure speed.
hmm that's weird I was using tdm in the video as wells as pre testing with a bunch of animation mods and it worked. I will test some more see what I can find.
I have tested True Directional Movement with all of its Requirements installed and I didn't seem to find any issue with it.
I have also done testing with SkySA, Animation Motion Revolution, and Dynamic Animation Replacer (With animation for each installed) i haven't lost direction control with any of them. I am unsure as to what might be the problem for you my only thought would be the free movement in slow time.
No clue myself. Deactivated everything that's remotely related to animations, including Fairy Wings and Levitation, but still every time I hit the spell button, my char can only move in the current direction. Dunno what's wrong with my setup, just reinstalled two weeks ago.
I have made a version without free walk and am currently in the process of making a new version with a better script it will be out soon! hopefully it will work with your setup!
It's still useable, just have to recast when I want to change direction. This "Inert Mass Effect" is even somewhat realistic. After all, it's really difficult to redirect small things like bullets, if they are fast enough.
Edit: Got me vanilla Slow Time 1-3 for testing. They slowed down the turning speed, too. ST+WW is just ten times stronger than even vanilla Slow Time 3. Further tests confirmed that my char was able to walk a big circle around that giant camp east of Whiterun. No lost control, but real slooooooooow reaction. Lowered effect from 0.01 to 0.05 to be able to turn indoors (takes 3 to 4 seconds for 180°), while still moving nearly as "fast" as a fired hostile spell or arrow.
so with the original slow time it still makes you turn very slowly correct? If you already disable all the movement/Animation mods than. Is there any Spell/Shout mods that you have installed that could be messing with the original slow time Shout? the slow time effect from my mod is based off of the original slow time shout.
I will download some Magic mods to see if any of them can cause the same effect as to what you are describing and see what I can find!
Fix: In the MCM (Mod Configuration Menu) under True Directional Movement menu and then Directional movement tab in TDM scroll down under Multiplier settings and select this option if you haven't already.
Many Thanks, but unfortunately MCM Helper gives me Insta-Crashes, therefore TDM does not show up in my MCM list, but works fine otherwise. But no, nothing like Mystcism, Odin or Apocalypse installed. So there really seems to be something suspect with my game. (This cursed AE Update gave me some new fishes, but also headaches from hell. Played years with the same setup before or could just use the last backup - no more. Thanks, Bethesda.)
Try enabling bIgnoreSlowTime in True Directional Movement MCM ini Skyrim Special Edition\mods\True Directional Movement - Modernized Third Person Gameplay\MCM\Config\TrueDirectionalMovement set the 0 to 1 and see if that fixes it.
The only way I could replicate what you were experiencing was by disabling the ignore slow time in the In-game TDM MCM menu.
Best thing I can recommend is to figure out what's causing MCM to make your game insta crash and either disable and or fix it.
bIgnoreSlowTime = 1 And now everything is back to normal turning speed. Thanks! Edit: Have to keep MCMHelper.esp unticked or CTD. Will only test some outfits and other stuff this time, then reinstall when they force the next update on us.
i followed your advice with the ignore slow time, i can turn and look to the sides at normal speed, but cannot look up or down at normal speed and my character wont rotate with the camera, just side walking in circles while the animation is walking forward D: every slow time spell ive downloaded and used has had this issue but yours is the best so far, everything is fine in first person but not third person. i enabled bignoreslowtime in the mcm ini and in the mcm ingame and results are the same, hopefully i can find someway to get this to work because i really like your slow time spell more than any other i have ever downloaded
i will go through and look for any other slowtime spell ive installed and disable them to see if theyre causing any weirdness, and then try disabling true directional movement to see if thats playing games with me atm.
removing all slow time mods did nothing, removing true directional movement and pc head tracking did nothing. i must have something installed that is still giving me TDM because it was still present after disabling it and im certain thats what is causing the issue with the character rotating in super slow mo when activating any slow time spell. :(
edit: ive found that having the magnitude on slow mo spells below 0.5 creates an issue with turning while weapons or spells are sheathed for me. unsheathing weapons allows me to move around normal speed. i tested this with another slow time spell and have confirmed anything below 0.5 will begin to slow your characters turn rotation speed which kind of sucks but ohwell, atleast i can move around while holding a weapon i guess
for me it does this, ik its a hassle but you can go into first person while time is stopped then turn where you wanna look, and then go into third person, that's what i do :D
Hi. I know it would be different from the intention of this mod, but it wouldn't hurt to ask... Would it be possible to have the slow/stop time effect affect the player as well (same intensity and all)? I'm looking for a mod that could try to replicate the pause feature of games like Baldur's Gate or DA:O. I'm still a bit surprised there is nothing like that yet out of all the several thousand mods out there and given the popularity of BG and DAO. Thanks.
If you have done these then it should work: *download & install version 3.1 *Run Skyrim & load a save(any save) *A notification at the bottom right should pop up saying Spell Tome: Slow Time added *Learn the spell tome *The Slow Time should be under Powers (NOT SHOUT) Menu.
If you are using MO2 have you checked the Plugins tab and made sure it was enabled? (I am not sure about where Vortex/NMM plugins are located because i use mo2)
Have you made sure it was activated in-game? -Launch Skyrim -In the main menu select Mods -Press T to load, load Order -look for my mod the name is SlowTime.esp and enable it
If this doesn't work I am not sure what the problem is.

I recommend using SkyUI for inventory needs.
-Launch Skyrim
-In the main menu select Mods
-Press T to load, load Order

I looked up UESP and the wiki doesn't mention such skill from Slow Time tho
