    General  Info

    How Do I get Breezehome?
Same as always.  Buy it from Proventus Avenicci in Whiterun.

    What about the Furnishings?
Same as always. Buy them from Proventus. Prices of the upgrades are slightly increased from the base game. (See the list of new prices below.)
If you prefer to acquire them for free with a cheat, you can strike the Breezehome Manual added by this mod with a weapon. You will find the manual atop the storage chest at the back of the kitchen when you purchase the home.

    • 500 Alchemy Lab
    • 925 Crafting Basement
    • 350 Bathing Room
    • 375 Bedrooms
    • 300 Kitchen
    • 675 Living Room
    • 425 Loft
(If the loft seems expensive relative to the other rooms, it is because of the value of the healing shrine there. )

    Why doesn't it support adoption?
This started as a personal mod, and I never use the adoption mechanic. The effort to go back and retrofit the mod now would be significant, so I currently have no plans to do so.

Why does my follower do ...X?
I probably can't tell you. I've watched in consternation as Lydia blindly tries to walk through a chair or the bar as she sandboxes. I have spent many hours doing a dozen fresh versions of navmesh, adding collision boxes, etc, etc. Still, she gets confused. Eventually, she will teleport past the intervening furniture if you are patient with her. I suspect that the tight furniture arrangement is more than her pathing algos can handle, but I continue to seek a solution that may or may not exist. Suggestions for new approaches are welcome.

My house is too dark ( or too bright).
There's a globe-like device on a table near the fireplace. On it find a button. Press. It will cycle you through ten levels of bright/dark. When you've got the one you want, just leave it be. The lighting changes are done by applying ImageSpaceModifiers. At the point in the cycle where you are back to vanilla lighting, you will see an informational message saying that the modifiers have been removed.

Will you make a patch for ...X?
Probably not. If I encounter a mod I want in my load order, I might end up attempting a patch which I would then share. I'm not (nor do I want to become ) a full-time modder. I have a RL and a limited number of hours to devote to gaming, so I have to be miserly with them. Look below in the compatibility notes for compatibility information. Any patch information will be there.

Will you port this to XBox?
No. I don't own an XBox, so I couldn't properly test or support it.

    Compatibility Notes:

    ELFX
Symptom:  Smoke in the living room and lots and lots of dust beams coming through the roof:
Patch: Available here on the files page. The patch removes ELFX lights from Breezehome except for the fake door light. If you want to remove the fake door lights, use the existing global fix here: ELFX Fake Door Light Remover

    LUX
Lux includes a compatibility patch for Wynter's Breezehome. It will detect the mod and automatically check the patch during installlation

    Ordinator
Symptom: Basement Forge has floating lava-like graphics
Patch: Available here on the files page. Ordinator has a perk to let you upgrade a forge. The upgrade has cool graphics designed for the vanilla forge but unworkable for my custom forge. The patch removes the lava effect, but does not affect the actual upgrade. You still get the forge bonus.

    Embers XD
Symptom: Fire in the middle of living room floor
Patch: Available here on the files page. This just eliminates the fire burning in the middle of the living room where the old firepit used to be.

    Live Another Life
    Symptom
: Using the Breezehome Start, the laboratory and basement crafting area have no furnishings
    Patch: None Available
Workaround:  There should be a book named "Breezehome Manual"  lying on a chest at the back wall of the kitchen. ( This is a book added by my mod, NOT the decorating guide you got from Proventus. ) Smack the book with your sword and it should enable all the furniture markers and (hopefully) materialize all your missing furniture.

    Distinct Interiors
    Symptom:  ???
    Patch: None Required
Workaround: Remove Distinct Interiors AIO and install the core + all other modules except player homes. (This information was provided by Nocturnal Nemesis, and I have shared it here).

I permitted my first mod to be ported to XBox with the result that I could not help the folks who installed it when they ran into issues. I found that tremendously frustrating. ( And I assume the mod's users felt the same way). On the PC, I am familiar with the toolset and how to troubleshoot and resolve conflicts. On  XBox, that is not the case. So... I can't, in good conscience, okay a port when I can't support it properly. Sorry, but I do appreciate the ask.

I'm having an issue where the embersXD patch is not working. The flame still shows up in the middle of the floor. I have the embersXD patch loading last of all the conflicts in XEdit but it still doesnt work

This version of Breezehome is beautiful

Are you sure that Embers XD is the culprit? If there are other lighting mods, you could try disabling those.  If you can't find a solution, you might want to try my Breezehome Redux. It is an expansion of this module with a very similar layout, but you can choose not to buy any of the expanded rooms if you want to keep it simple as the original. Redux cannot conflict with any other mod changing the Breezehome interior, so requires no interior patches. That was one of the reasons I created it. Too many mods modify the Breezehome cell, so Redux is implemented in a custom cell.

I'm really not sure what the issue is. I resolved it by downloading Jaxonz Positioner and just deleting the fires in the middle of the room. Other than the issues with that the mod is beautiful. I might actually live in Breezehome for once because of it!

love this mod! however sadly i can’t seem to get it to work at all after reinstalling all my mods. i made sure it was installed before starting a new save, and i also tried reinstalling it just in case it was being overwritten.

Can you be more specific than "can't get it to work"?
If it's not working, try putting it last in your load order to see if there is a mod conflict. If that doesn't help,  and you can't sort out what's going on, you might try my Breezehome Redux, which is the mod that replaces this one. Redux is the next generation of this mod, but has  a lot more features, and better compatibility.

I threw together a patch to make this mod work with Open Cities Skyrim if you'd like to add it as an optional file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15sK5qromCRgQTx7UG4NnWqdl9eGIDHAy/view?usp=sharing

All I did was open both mods (plus USSEP, which is a master for OCS) in CK and connect the interior door from this mod to the relocated exterior door from Open Cities. This was my first attempt at patching a mod myself, so let me know if there are any issues. I don't know how to properly mark masters for the file, but it almost certainly requires this mod, OCS, and USSEP.

I really appreciate the offer, but if I were to put your patch here, my users would assume (rightly) that I should provide support for it. That would prove problematic. I installed Open Cities once, then removed it because of the various issues I encountered. So trying to guarantee my mod is compatible with Open Cities and dealing with any resulting user problems is something I am not ready to sign up for. If I should get a request for a patch in the future, I can point them to your link.

Again, I do appreciate the effort you went through to create the patch and hope that my mod works seamlessly with your patch for a great playthrough.

i am new to modding skyrim. i see this is incompatible with immersive citizens. Is that the original immersive citizens or immersive citizens ai overhaul?

I see i posted in wrong mod meant to post regarding redux version.

I have not tried it, but I am fairly certain it is incompatible also. I opened up the mod in XEdit to see what it changes, and it makes many edits to Whiterun, including changes to the exterior navmesh and the addition of new idle markers. These are the kinds of changes that caused the original IC mod to be incompatible with my mod.

      **** Just an update ***
I installed IC AI Overhaul and watched the NPC's in Whiterun. The behavior looked a little different than the original mod. It seemed that the NPCs were a little better at navigating around Breezehome and no longer mindlessly and continuously trying to walk through it. I am not sure if the improved AI is responsible for the behavior change or not, but it definitely looks better than the original IC. To answer your question definitively would require more extensive testing, and that is not in plan. My hunch is that there are still going to be incompatibilities. Should you decide to risk running this mod with mine, insure mine is loaded later than IC AI overhaul.

Well thanks for update on post. I figured it would probably still conflict. I really appreciate you testing it. After some further looking im gonna run with ai overhaul instead with your home mod. Seems to do same as IC but doesn't conflict with other mods. Unless of course you say it would amount to same thing.

Once again thank you for your help.

I run with AI Overhaul in my own load order of about 350 mods. I have experienced no problems with it.

Would it be possible to make a version with water in the bathtub so it can be used with mods like Keep It Clean? If not, how can I do it myself?

You click on the tap thing to have water fill the bath, did you not see or find / click on that ?

I did, but it did not fill the tub. I waited for around a minute, so I figured it wouldn't actually fill.

Sorry, but this mod isn't going to be compatible with Keep it Clean. The issues are more complex than just water in the tub. I looked at making a patch for Keep it Clean on my other Breezehome mod (Breezehome Redux). A patch wasn't feasible. There's a thread on the Redux page explaining what I found.

(And JadeRiver, I remember that I promised you I'd look at the table upstairs. I've just been elbow deep in other mods for a while and haven't gotten to it. Eventually...)

Oh, okay. I could've sworn that Keep it Clean only needed ankle-deep water and a soap. And since you could get soap from the Inns' bathrooms, you'd only need shallow water for it to work. That's how I've done with mods that add player homes (like Peregrine Highwatch), and I don't think those are *made* to work with Keep it Clean. I could be wrong, though, so I'll check the thread you mentioned and see if my theory adds up somehow.

Just checked the comment in question and apparently you reached the same conclusion as I did, but I didn't know the CK limitations and patching issues. So yeah, I can understand not wanting to make a niche bathing mod a hard requirement for a player home. Sorry for the trouble and thank you for attempting it before.
