I had originally intended to update both this and Prelude to Purgatory. Spent the better part of yesterday combing through the mod in CK and in VSCode looking for problems. I didn't see any obvious issue, the scripts edited by this patch and Prelude to Purgatory don't appear to have been changed with the newest UCL and Ascension Lite. I did boot them up together, and everything seemed to work as it did before. Only issue was the Custom Skills Framework config causing issue. But there are now two fixes on the Nexus for that.
Not saying there is not some incompatibility somewhere between Prelude to Purgatory and the newest UCL, just saying, I couldn't find anything obvious.
are there any issues with using this with the up to date pre-requisites? I read the comment below but I'm not wise enough in modding to know if I can still use this or not without breaking my save
For anyone who is interested in this patch, and may have been turned away by this comment, this patch should still work with 1.50. The changelog only mention two changes to The Ascension (Lite). The first change is an updated script for necrotrackingquestscript. The second change is a minor edit to The Path of Transcendence quest.
The updated script isn't included in Prelude To Ascension, and the minor edit is only a spelling correction. All it does is change "The Path of Transcendance" to "The Path of Transcendence". You can change this yourself in SSEEdit.
edit: My reply might be a moot point anyway as Prelude to Purgatory hasn't been updated for version 3.60 of Undeath - Classical Lichdom yet. The sticky on Classical Lichdom mentions that it isn't fully compatible but doesn't go into details about what the incompatibility is. It's probably best to just stick with version 3.55.
As Luna said this is correct. I will update this mod once Prelude to Purgatory does. Which probably waits for Custom Skill Framework as the replacement, while acceptable, is still limited
I started a new playthrough, became werewolf, became lich. Werewolf still applied after lichdom, so I thought I was in the clear.
Now I did the Serana quest, joined Harkon, became a vampire lord but when I revert back to mortal form I'm not a vampire. Just a regular human with Vampire Lord minor power. Also: the werewolf stuff was gone. Even though I had the perk in Prelude and both checkboxes set in the MCM for this mod.
I'm using Sacrosanct in case that matters. I tried drinking a potion of embracing (after setting disease resistance to 0 in the console so it could work). It said I was a vampire now and gave me the transformation effects but I was still not a vampire.
Hmm I would recommending trying on a new save (use cheats to make it go faster) with just one of the other mods (and of course use the versions I listed).
Also, if I read yours correctly, then you might have a misunderstanding: This mod only allows playing as Lich and Vampire OR Werewolf, not both. For that another mod is required.
And setting disease resistance to 0 might not be helpful in this case as scripts are involved in ensuring that you only have one (which is the reason why you need to do that stuff in Vanilla to become both, as those steps break the scripts involved.)
If that doesn't work I would recommending opening this as a ticked listing the exact mods you are using, any configs you changed, load order, and steps to reproduce the issue as that makes it a lot easier to solve the problem.
Yep, wanted to do the same, and as I had some experience in programming already I thought about doing it. And well, when I'm already doing it, it'd be selfish not to share.

It changes the same file this mod changes.
