I would love to know how to add one or two to some of the smaller and/or less protected towns like Riverwood. Dawnguard Sentries did that, but it was too buggy to keep using. Also, like others, I think that there are too many of these guys in most areas. Half of the current number would be more appropriate.
For anyone who has similar misgivings, you can (and I did) go into Xedit and delete some of the NPCs from the Worldspace records, or flag them as initially disabled if you don't want to permanently alter the file.
It could be neat if (at least as an option) the Dawnguard patrols only showed up after you started/completed the Dawnguard "Awakening" mission (since you can apprently bypass the mission "Dawnguard" and that might break things if it was reliant on that maybe). That way it's like the patrolling guards show up after the Dawnguard has re-formed and things are starting to get more serious.
Going by the video, I feel there are too many. Should be no more than 1-3, depending on location. Instead they come off as more of an occupation force.
your system will not crash compare to other npc mods that over loads the game with hundreds of npc lol. Mine is fairly performance friendly, thats what i meant.
Are these mercenaries essential or protected? Are they independent of Fort Dawnguard member factions/questline or will they attack PC character on sight if he/she is a vampire just like vampire hunters?
