If the patch doesn't work, or you don't wanna use it, here's how to do it yourself:

THIS REQUIRES YOU TO HAVE THE CREATION KIT! But it's a VERY EASY fix, so don't be afraid!

Open the creation kit and load Dagiraht.esp as the active file.

    Search for "dagiraht"

On the right you'll see DagiRahtRaceVampire open that up.

There's a tab called Face Data.

On the top left of that tab are two check boxes, the top box labeled "Overlay Head Part List" is checked by default.

    Uncheck it.

(If by chance the second box is also checked....uncheck that was well.)

You can also set the line for the eyes to none if you want, but not strictly necessary.

Then, go in-game and contract vampirism. You MUST contract Sanguinare Vampiris, and wait the 3 days for your vampire powers to click on.

An easy way to do this is to open the console and type: player.addspell 0b8780

If you do, MAKE SURE it says the spell was added. It's a random chance to be applied, and doesn't always work on the first shot. Just spam the s#*! out of the command until it triggers. lol

WAIT THE THREE DAYS!! THIS IS IMPORTANT!

Then... open the console again, and type: player.setrace DagiRahtRaceVampire

    YOU HAVE TO DO THIS!

and BOOM! Done. You're a vampire, you can feed, and you can use all the powers!

Is this fix still valid for the newest version of the Dagi-Raht race mod? Because it is looking for the old esp name for the mod in question which is now LunarLattice.esp

It's not valid. The race name had changing. Now, after you turn vampire, use this command:

      Player.SetRace LLKOhmesRahtRaceVampire

If you cure your vampirism, use :

      Player.SetRace LLKOhmesRahtRace

If you have the same problem with other custom race, two solutions:
You don't know how the creator had named the race :
Open the creation kit, go to File, Data, go to the ESP and select "Details..." look the Type named Race and you have the race name for the command console.

You have an idea of the name :
Open command console with ~ , tape a part of the name (for exemple in our case : Ohmes) and look the "RACE" form. You have the race name for the command console.

Finally! I've been playing with this dagi-raht for so long but could never be a vampire. Also, I actually love that it keeps my appearance :D thank you so much!

Managed to get mine fixed. Not sure why but your .esp wasn't generating my body textures. How I fixed it was to simply change the settings of my dagirahtvampire race to match the settings of your fix and it worked like a charm. If anyone seems to have the same issues as i did (Body textures completely not generating) This would be a good fix, and should be a non-issue once the main Dagi-raht.esp gets updated.

Yeah, that's how I originally did it, obviously. First time I've ever done something like this though, so if it's not 100%, well... oops =P

Hey, at least we found the problem.

      Hi,

Could you please give a little more detail on how you fixed it?
I'm having the same issues with the changing of the race to vampire. The body textures disapear.

Did you change the DagiRaht.esp or the DagiRahtFix.esp?

Either, it's just so the Dagi can feed while a vampire, and doesn't crash when typing player.setrace daghirahtracevampire

We didn't change anything of substance, simply turned off the vampire head morph. Which means you'll retain your normal appearance rather than have vampire eyes or sunken cheeks or stuff like that.

If you run into any other problems though, please let us know!

Hope you still check this post after so long...

I understand that unchecking the box is supposed to turn off the vampire head morph. However, with the box unchecked, when I changed my race to dagirahtracevampire, the head changed to a totally different face. I believe it's a head from a different race.
So I tried playing around the settings. I changed the selection for the head in the dagirahtracevampire into dagiraht head, with the head overlay, then it maintained the original head I had with the related vampire morphs (wrinkles etc.) (It didn't crash...luckily?)

In relation to this, the mod that prevents vampiric morph facial changes does it by editing the morphing .TRI files. I'm not too sure how the dagiraht race was implemented, but I didnt manage to find the equivalent files for the vanilla races for the dagiraht morph. Due to my own noob-ness, I also am unable to trace the file the dagiraht uses for morphs.

Did anyone else face the same issue? Hope someone found the solution...

I have the same issue. The head seems to be a basic one with human ears and the Dagi ears disappear (also the whole face changes). But I'm using the mod, not the creation kit. Oh, and I'm using Oldrim.

I found a fix for the missing body textures, or clothes becoming body textures. I unequipped everything and used the vampire script from this mod. Now, you'll just be a floating head, but we'll fix that. Type into the console "setrace dagirahtrace" without the quotation marks. You'll still be able to feed, better vampires will recognise you as a vampire along with npcs, you get to keep all the vamp spells, and you can now have your body textures.

I have been hard at work coming up with a proper vampire fix for this race (built off of an older version), and have succeeded in transforming the male into a vampire---complete with morphs!

Jury's still out on whether Vampire Lord works, though...

I still have to work on the female version, since I can't figure out why the female variant can't change into a vampire without crashing the game.

I also did some miscellaneous fixes, like adding the proxy keyword and making the earrings not glow in the dark.

---------AN ALTERNATIVE FIX FOR THOSE WHO ARE MISSING BODY TEXTURES:---------------

[EDIT: I just tested this fix again, and it's not as failproof as I previously thought, even when all the flags are ticked. Unfortunate. Still, I recommend trying it for yourself, maybe you'll be lucky.]

After you're finished installing this fix, if you get the missing body textures and Creation Kit doesn't work for you, I found an alternative temporary fix:

0 - Before we begin, you should create a backup save, as usual. And make sure that you have RaceCompatibility.

1 - Download and Install this mod: www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22774

2 - It will add a new item to the game called "Well of Age" which allows your character to maintain the appearance of a standard race (ex: NordRace) instead of a vampire race (ex: NordRaceVampire) and still be considered a vampire to the npcs of the game, thus not breaking any quests or abilities.

3 -Launch the game and MAKE SURE that your character's race is Dagi-Raht.

4 -Infect yourself with Sanguinare Vampiris and wait the 3 days

5 -After the vampirism kicks in, open the console and type "player.setrace NordRaceVampire (or any other vanilla vampire race of your choice)"

6 - Your character should now have the head of a Dagi-Raht and body of a Nord. We'll fix that in a second. Now type "player.placeatme 69005735" with no quotes in order to spawn the Well Of Age

7 -Close the console and activate the well, it should give you 3 options but DO NOT choose any option yet! Instead, open the console and type "player.setrace DagiRahtRace"

8 - Now that you're a DagiRaht, choose the "Remain Young" option, in order to maintain your textures without risking any glitches.

9 -Done. If everything goes ok, your Dagi-Raht character should now have all textures, be flagged as a vampire and undead, and be treated as such by the game. They will feed normally, and get all the powers and weaknesses from vampirism. Only "downside" being the fact that they won't change appearance.

PS: With this mod and workaround, I'm not sure if the fix showed here is STILL necessary, but I'd still highly recommend you to keep it, as to avoid an instant CTD upon transformation.

I experienced a wonderfully bizarre bug trying to get this to work. I saw no body textures and also could not unequip anything. Trying to swap chest armor just added a second set on top of my first. Swapping helms around gave me lots and lots and lots of horns as Iron and Steel and Dragonbone fought for dominance. The best was attempting to read Elder Scroll (Blood) and having it unable to leave my character's hands. The only thing unaffected by this was my weapons. Uninstalling the fix alone and trying to make the change to the race in the creation kit led still left Kitty holding her Elder Scroll like a dunce.

I fixed the issue by uninstalling both this fix and the race, redownloading and reinstalling the race, manually editing it in the creation kit, and then resetting my vampire state with Better Vampires. Now Kitty has fur again and will stop blinding anyone trying to read over her shoulder. Posting in case anyone ran into the same sort of issue.

Could we get this for basic Skyrim? I've been driving myself up a wall trying to figure out the vampire bug w/ dagi characters and this sounds AMAZING!
